This vehicle was originally sold as isHowever due to the fact the issue arose so soon after purchase we offered Mr*** assistance similar to our courtesy warranty that is a 50/customer/Us drivetrain (i.e Motor & Transmission) warranty and repairs are done at our locationWe pay 50% and
the Customer pays the other 50% and this only pertains to the drivetrain however in this case we offered to help with the exhaust system and catalytic converters to help Mr***Upon our diagnostics of the Subaru we were able to narrow the problem down to either the sensors OR catalytic converters so we started by replacing the sensors, this did not resolve the engine light from being onIn turn we had the gentleman take the car to *** *** who we use for muffler and exhaust work to get an estimate doneAn estimate he received in person in the amount of I believe 1,200$ including parts and laborHowever since repairs are done in our shop we were able to reduce that cost to closer to 900$We communicated to Mr*** he will be required to pay 450$ and that we will cover the remainder and complete the repairs in our service departmentHowever he does not want the repairs done by us so we are unable to further assistThis vehicle was sold As Is which means we are in no way required to help him whatsoever but being a reputable dealer we still offered to help to no availI will not beg a customer to let me help them with service work that is not contractually requiredIf Mr*** takes his vehicle to a different service location other than ours to have the repairs done he will in no way be compensated from Image CarsAttached are the As Is forms signed by the customer along with the text conversation offering him assistance and him denying our assistance

The great deal on our car trumped poor customer service and communication we received until barely two weeks after we purchased the car, it wouldn't startIt being an Audi, we were extremely concernedWe jumped it for the day and it ran fine until later in the eveningThe next morning we had the same issueOur assumption of a dead battery proved to be true$laterCars need repairs and I fully understand that, however, I am not naive enough to think that such important parts of a car, such as the battery life and condition, are not thoroughly checked and dealers are not aware of issues they may have prior to selling a carIf I am wrong and this dealership does not thoroughly check the parts of their cars, it is evident that making a profit is more important than complete customer satisfaction

I have to write to share my experience with Image Cars, Inc of Fort Wayne Indiana
On June 14th I purchased a Chevy Trailblazer SUV from IMAGE CARS, IncThe agreement was that Image would change the oil, repair windshield damage and that the "Check Tire Pressure" message showing on the dash would be proven to clear once tires were replacedAside from those issues, I purchased the SUV "As is." Purchasing a used auto, I expect there to be things that need repaired, so when three days later the battery was dead and needed replaced and the mechanic found that the tie rod ends also were bad, I went ahead and had them fixed, bought new tires, and was back on the road
The tire pressure message never went away, even though the sensors were reset three separate timesI felt this was a minor point as well, however on June 28th when, while driving with my nephews, the power steering went out causing me to miss a turn and nearly collide with another vehicleI began to have more concernsAfter getting it to the mechanic, I learned that the vehicle had numerous issues and at that point needed more than I was able to put into fixing it
Having bought the vehicle "as is," I expected that I was stuck with it, but decided to send a letter to Image Cars and my salesman to let him know of the trouble I was havingUpon learning of my difficulties the salesman, Chip, and owner Amar immediately contacted me and set up a meeting for me to come in and talk to themConcerned of the treatment I would receive as a female and having had unpleasant experiences in the past, I took an advocate with me and what followed simply blew me away!
The gentlemen apologized for the difficulty I had had both with the mechanical problems and upon finding out that I rely upon my vehicle for my job and had missed work because of itThey asked me to return the next day to give them time to see what they could do
As I admitted above, I held prejudiced views towards car dealers due to bad experiences in my past, so still feeling nervous and unsure of what to expect I returned the next day with my advocate to find that they had found a vehicle that was similar but much more sound and safeThey allowed me to take the vehicle with me over night to get to know it and have it checked out by an independent party to see if I would like to trade for itThey also stated that if I did not like it they would keep searching for me
I now have a safe, reliable vehicle that I loveImage Cars, Inc., went out of their way to be sure of thatAmar told me that I could have come to him right away with the issues, and that I needed to be sure to let him know immediately if I had problems with the trade
Amar, Chip, and Image Cars, Inchave taught me that all car dealerships are not the sameThese gentlemen are respectable businessmen who have impressed me with their integrity and willingness to go above and beyond to have satisfied customers
I am pleased to be able to share this review with anyone who reads itAnd my appreciation for the honorable way they run their businessThey set the standard for what a dealership should be

I agree that I purchased the vehicle as-is and signed an agreement to that effect. The vehicle did not, however, have a check engine light showing when I test drove it. The light came on when I picked up the vehicle, telling me that the code had been reset by the dealership before I took the test drive. I believe the dealership knew the vehicle needed new catalytic converters at the time of the sale and used deceptive sales tactics to avoid a costly repair. When I picked up the vehicle and the engine light came on I immediately returned to the dealership. The salesman was no longer there, but I spoke with the owner and was told that they would take care of the problem. They offered an inexpensive solution (O2 sensors) which did not fix the problem. After hooking the vehicle to my own code reader it was apparent that the catalytic converters were bad. After calling Image Cars and pressing the issue I was sent to [redacted] because, according to the salesman, Image Cars did not work on catalytic converters. When they received the diagnosis and estimate from [redacted] I was told Image Cars was not willing to help me any further. The only reason they offered to do anything at all is to address my Revdex.com complaint. In texts back and forth between the salesman and myself, I was told they would "do the work" for $450. When asked, they refused to provide me with a detailed itemized account of what they were willing to do. I believe I was deceived and taken advantage of at the time of purchase, and feel I would be foolish to give MORE of my hard-earned money for a vague promise of repairs that Image Cars earlier stated they were not equipped to perform. Additionally, why would I be sent to [redacted] to get an estimate if Image Cars were capable of doing the repairs? Finally, If Image Cars is, in fact, willing to cover half of a $900 repair, why are they unwilling to simply contribute that $450 to help defray my cost of having the work done by a qualified shop that guarantees their work?
