MrC***/Image Optical conducted an exam on June 7, 2016. The insurance company reports that he didn't turn in the lenses until June 29, 2016. I finally visited his office on August only to find out he's claiming the lenses he ordered for me are not the lenses that were shipped on July 13. I have no documentation/proof that his claims have any basis in reality. The receipt that he provided me with on September is not factually/accurately itemized. The insurance payments are not reflected accurately on this receipt, therefore it is not an accurate itemized receipt. Finally, this Draccepts no responsibility for his own actions or lack thereof. Very unprofessional and unethical behavior on the part of this vision care provider. For these reasons, I reject his response

The patient contacted Image Optical with a billing concern.  It was determined that what was ordered from the lab by our office had in fact not been what was sent to us or processed by the insurance company. We contacted both the insurance company and the contracted lab to determine who changed...

the order resulting in the over payment.  No one was able to determine the cause of the change nor assist us in getting the order filled as written. [redacted] the insurance representative we spoke with suggested that we simply provide the refund rather than continue to try to correct the situation as the patient was not willing to allow us to resolve it.  We agreed to process a refund to the patient on Mon. 8/29/2016.  Less than an hour later the patient came to our office asking for the refund to be dispensed to her then and there.  She was advised that a refund would be processed and she would receive a check in the mail as was agreed and communicated with the insurance representative.  All of this information was known to the patient at the time this complaint was lodged.  The refund check was cut with an accompanying itemized receipt, received and cashed 9/6/2016 in less than a business week.
