On Friday September 22, 2017 *** met with Ron C and a Contract was written up with an agreement to paint our home. Ron was insistent on receiving half of the money up front before the work was done although, we expressed our reservations about paying before the work was complete; Ron said he could not hold our spot without receiving half the money up front before the job. Ron called diligently, bugging for payment on the following dates: 9/23/2017, 9/25/17 and 9/27/17. We reluctantly wrote check no. *** on 9/28/2017 for $945.00, paying for half of the paint job before the work was done. After that, we have not heard nothing from Mr. C. *** attempted to call him on October 20, 2017 without a return phone call and then on 10/26/2017 he blocked his number and Mr. C answered his phone; at the beginning of the conversations we expressed our concern that the quoted dates of completion have come and gone, Ron stated "it had been raining and that he would be getting to us next week," *** told him "we haven't had any rain here and that our agreed upon dates of completion have come and gone," Ron then said "it was raining down where he was and they were behind on work and getting caught up and assured us he would be getting to us next week." Almost another two weeks went by and no work was done on our home, so the owner of the home (Mary M) called Mr. C on 11/5/2017 to discuss that the contract had been broken and we wanted our money back; Ron stated "that is not how we work, we are going to do the job," home owner said "we have been hearing that for months, you broke the contract and I want my money back." Another week went by no work and no refund of the money so we called again on 11/9/2017 leaving a message that we wanted a refund of the check in our mailbox by 11/10/2017 or we would be taking further action. Since that date we still have an unpainted home and have not received a reimbursement check, Mr. Ron C has not may any attempt to contact us, to do the job or give us our money back as requested numerous times.
