this situation can cause so much frustration. For that, we apologize. We never want any of our customers to feel as though their complaint has been unheard. We are willing to smooth things over, customer complaints are never taken lightly. We do acknowledge that the her engine was serviced without her permission. Therefore, it's possible that we are liable for said damages. But we also feel that because she did not bring her car back to us to possibly rectify the problem instead of taking it to another establishment, we can only assume that she didn't have engine problems beforehand.
OFFER:
We are willing to reimburse Ms. [redacted] for the repairs that were done, in the amount of $945.21. As for a refund for the service, unfortunately because the work was completed on her car, we will not be able to do so. Nor will we be able to accommodate her for car rental expenses and her insurance deductible due to the fact that she chose not to bring it back to us to fix the problem.
