There is no mention of a requirement to provide proof of cause anywhere on her website nor did she indicate that it was a requirement in any of our correspondence. Her website only indicates 48 hours notice is required. I gave her 10 days notice. As a gesture of goodwill, 2 days ago, I forwarded her a copy of the doctors note that we used for insurance purposes to cover costs to reschedule our flights and again requested she return my deposit through an e-transfer. I have not received my refund.

Verandah B&B website only requires 48 hours notice for cancellation, with no mention that reasons for cancellation (or proof thereof) might be required. Our reservation was for 2 [redacted] and I advised this establishment as far back as [redacted] of our cancellation due to [redacted] reasons.
Since [redacted]. [redacted] I hope this will be acceptable proof to the B&B owner and that she will now send me my refund as a certified cheque or a money order in the amount of $[redacted].

Today I have sent by email a scanned letter obtained [redacted]
I now await for [redacted] (owner of Verandah B&B) to mail me in the next week a certifieed cheque or money order made out to me for $[redacted] as my deposit refund and sent to my home address (which I have provided to her).
