Review: [redacted] collected all money upfront, gave wrong and out dated equipment and left job in the middle without responding any further.

I hired [redacted] for a distributed audio system installation. He collected $4,500 in advance. On 3/26/2013 he asked me to give him $1,000 advance for a Nuvo System. Then he mentioned there is a delay and told me he got a better system from Elan. I gave him $2,000 advance on 4/26/2013 and then another $1,500 on 4/29/2013. He brought the Elan system and controllers but was not able to install and make everything work for almost a month and a half. He kept on giving many excuses not to show up and complete the project. I then called another company to help with the installation and found out the equipment [redacted] sold me is 5 years old system and controllers which are no longer support by Elan company. I contacted [redacted] and he then agreed that these were outdated equipment and he would return me the money. But he never collected those equipments which are sitting in my garage not returned me the money. I tried to contact him numerous times by phone call, text and emails but he did not respond to any of them. In addition to that, he used some other equipments in my initial project where I paid him all the money but he took out some of the equipments promising he would get me other better ones. He took 2 ceiling speakers ($300) ,Logitech remote ($279), 2 volume controller ($200), zone selector ($285). Aside from the above, he cut my drywall in three different places in the house and put the non-functional Elan controllers without doing the wiring. I need to get someone to fix the drywall he cut. He also installed a ceiling speaker in my washer room which was not working. I found out later that he did not even do the wiring. He also cut a hole in the ceiling in my upstair patio to install speaker which he never did and kept that wire hanging there. I took off many days from work to accommodate his schedule but he did not show up most of the time.

In summary, he wasted a lot of my time as I took off from work but he did not show up, sold me wrong old equipment, took all money upfront and did not deliver products and services as promised. In addition he damaged several places in my house which required repair and cost me additional money and stress.

Desired Settlement: I am asking [redacted] to return $3,500 for the wrong Elan products, $200 for volume controllers, $285 for zone selector, $300 for ceiling speakers and $279 for Logitech universal remote and $600 to repair the drywall in 3 places. Total settlement requested $5,164.

I have not heard anything from the company. They did not contact me as of 8/14/2013.

Review: [redacted] collected deposit but failed to honor contract to perform services. He has not returned $500 deposit.

Entered into a contract with [redacted] on 10-31-13 under the company name "AV Pros" out of Lincoln, CA for home theater install. I provided a $500 deposit to perform services provided on 10/31. Bank records show [redacted] cashed the check the same day. Install was to occur that same week. However, [redacted] never performed promised services. He breached the contract failing to show up to perform the install either rescheduling with an excuse last-minute or failing to show up altogether at the agreed upon time. Due to his lack of professionalism and breach I demanded a return of the deposit and cancelled the contract. [redacted] agreed to return the deposit, but has failed to deliver. He has since ignored demands for its return, has absconded with the deposit, and is committing fraud.Desired Settlement: [redacted] must return the $500 deposit.

Review: Has not completed installation of 3rd TV paid & contracted 10/22/13. Will not respond or complete job.

10/21/13 [redacted] XXX-XXX-XXXX from Impact Audio & Video of Lincoln, CA came to my home & gave a quote of $1347.63 to install surround sound & mount TV to wall in great room.

10/22 Gave a down payment check for $650 [redacted] to begin work. Would begin 10/23.

10/23 Installed great room TV Paid $1551.81 with check [redacted]

10/24 Installed garage & master bedroom. Guest room not done until shelf built over weekend. [redacted] signed back of contract "to return upon request to mount last TV when shelf completed."

11/3 9:02 am text from me requesting finish job 11/4.

11/4 8:35 am text from me asking if available 11/5.

11/6 8:30 am text from me asking if he is there. 3:00 pm text from me asking when he will install TV.

11/7 8:35 am called his # requesting a call back. 8:39 am text from me & asked to call me. Received text that father ill & in S. CA "and will call you immediately to arrange completion of our job." 6:04 pm me text from me that Monday would work. His Text "will call tomorrow to discuss appointment before holiday." At this point I am thinking he is on vacation but send text from me that I am in OR & call me tomorrow. His Text "ok."

11/25 10:48 am text from me to setup date & time.

11/26 7:53 am Called him & he advised was going to call this afternoon & would call this afternoon to setup appointment for tomorrow in the afternoon after 3 PM. 6:59 pm text from me stating it is obvious he was not going to fulfill the contract & req $ back. Have paid $650 + $1551.81 + $2201.81 & the job is not done. The breakdown from his invoice charge & refund due me for services not completed are:

This guy is a shyster & will tell anyone whatever they want to hear so he can get a sale & walk away with their check. No follow through, bad businessman in general. Review: AV Pros installed a ceiling speaker and due to placement of the sparker (smashed into a pipe) the sound is muffled. There is now a hole in my ceiling.

[redacted] quoted me $300 foe a home surround sound system install. He said the job would take approximately 4 hours, it took him 16 hours and 3 days. When the install was finally completed he charged we over $700. The same day, hours after he left one of the speakers sounded muffled. I immediately call [redacted]. After taking to him sever times and several appointments he missed, he stopped taking my calls. I took the speaker out to as the problem. [redacted] installed the speaker against a sewage pipe from the upstairs rest room, compressing the back of the speaker. The speaker is now runied due to his intall and there is a hole in my ceiling .Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of the installation ($700) and compensation of the damaged Polk Audio speaker ($300) for a total of $1000.00

Review: Contacted Business under the name of AV Pros via his website. Obtained a quote via email in March 2014. Joseph visited our home and provided additional quote and picked up the deposit check in the amount of $525.00 for the materials on March 5th 2014. Check was cashed and cleard on March 7th. Joseph was to contact me to set up an install appoointment. Severeal emails, text messages and phone calls transpired and resulted in unsuccessful communication and completeion of the work.Desired Settlement: Demand full refund in the amount of $525.00

Review: I paid [redacted] $650 as a deposit for work that was never completed. he promised my deposit back and has not paid it. he is ignoring me.

My father in law who lives at [redacted] Lane in [redacted] and myself hired [redacted] of AV professionals to install a stereo system sometime back in April/May of 2013. we agreed on the system and I gave him a deposit of $650.00. [redacted] didnt follow up to set up an install. after a lot of bothering, he said he would follow up. After a few attempts where no date of install was set, I finally told [redacted] to forget about it and just send me my deposit back. he said he would on numerous occasions but still has not sent it. he doesnt pick up his phone nor return my phone call. Bottom line is that no work was ever performed, no equipment purchased etc. and he needs to do the right thing and return the deposit.Desired Settlement: a refund of my deposit
