I just spoke with William Thomas at Imperial. He called yesterday and we got along great. I did a search for bad reviews and came up with this site. When I called him to let him know that I was not going to be using his company, he got rude. I thought maybe he would redeem himself or his company but he did neither, just made things worse. I've never done business with him but I would say that he and his company didn't prove the above reviews were incorrect when speaking with me.

Review: Imperial contacted me last year offering an advance. After submitting all of my information and requesting $20k I was told that I was approved but that I would receive 50% of the funds immediately and the other 50% in 30-45 days as long as my revenue numbers did not drop by 25% or there was no change in ownership of my business. I accepted the offer and was funded the first 50% on 12/**/2014. Starting 45 days later I called Imperial multiple times a day trying to get someone to help me. My calls were never returned and all I received was the run around. Finally after getting fed up with them I started calling the lenders directly that Imperial used to fund the deal. That is when I was informed of what was really going on. Imperial used two lenders to fund the deal, but the lenders were not aware of this. Imperial made sure that both deals were funded on the same day so they could hide one from the other. Imperial knew full well that both of these lenders were not going to release any additional funds in 30-45 days. They also knew that once one found out about the other that I would not be able to get renewed. All Imperial wanted was to get something funded so that they could receive a commission from the lenders with no care that I would not be able to receive the rest of the funds that I needed to make my plan work. Had I known that the other funds weren't possible and that Imperial was flat out lying to me I would have avoided the advance altogether. This type of business practice is not acceptable and others should be warned so that they may avoid this same type of scam. As I mentioned earlier, I spoke with the [redacted]s personally of both lenders and they were not happy with Imperial's practice and also stated that they would have never funded the deal had they known Imperial was "double stacking" lenders at the same time to avoid being caught.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded all of the fees and dollar amounts charged over and above the amount advanced to me.

Very rude sales people.

Review: On October *, 2014, I received what looked like a check for $59,750.00 in my name. I immediately found this company on line and sent an email requesting that they remove my name and address from their mailings due to the fact that our mailbox is not locked or monitored. I also requested acknowledgement of this request. I sent this on October **, 2014. I never received acknowledgement of this request.

On December **, 2014 I received another check in my name this time for $62,350.00. I want this stopped.

I saw on the Revdex.com site that there had been a complaint regarding these "loans" showing up as checks.

The company response was as quoted from your web site "Imperial Advance will be updating and revising their current marketing materials in response to Complaint ID #[redacted]. In particular, the check will be updated with clear and conspicuous disclaimer language and appropriate disclosures to ensure our advertising materials are not false or misleading or contain any misrepresentations regarding the company’s prequalification and loan approval process. "

These loan offers still look like checks and on the back it says "This check contains the following security features."

I do not want items like this in my mailbox that someone could come along, take and cash in my name.Desired Settlement: Do not send any more advertising to this address.

Stay away from this business! They are far from transparent. They will flat out lie to you about the terms and what they promise. In my case they played two different lenders at the same time (which the lenders didn't know) They arranged for both lenders to fund on the same day so they could hide it from one another. Imperial also told me another 50% would be available in 30-45 days. Never happened. It was a complete lie and a scam. I have dealt with other brokers that were very upfront and honest. Imperial is far from it. Do your homework folks. Ask as many questions as you can. FYI, Imperial doesn't like questions. They just want you to sign on the dotted line.

Very unethical company from top to bottom. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from Imperial. They will tell you anything they can to get you in as well as make many promises they can't keep. They are nothing but a lowlife predatory broker. They are extremely unprofessional and will flat out lie to you about the process. In my case they double stacked lenders WITHOUT the lender's knowledge just to slap a deal together. The lenders are not happy with them either at this point plus they put me in a very precarious position. Imperial representatives will even go as far as coaching you as to what to say to lenders when they are up to their unethical practices. One more thing, as if all of this wasn't enough.... Imperial charges OUTRAGEOUS brokerage fees. Again, stay away from them. They give a legit industry a bad rap. There are much better companies out there. Do your research before dealing.
