Om, due to his lack of fluency in English.MrOm states: Customer, *** ***, brought his *** *** for air condition freon refill to Imperial Auto Repair on June 3, After further inspecting the vehicle, MrOm had found multiple problems with the vehicle and had relayed the message to Mr***, in which Mr*** agreed to have it fixed for the final price of $On June 8, 2016, MrOm sent a picture of the estimate/invoice of the parts and repairs done to the vehicle via text messageOn June 9, 2016, Mr*** came to the shop and paid the full $On June 13, 2016, Mr*** was informed that his door handle was broken, which MrOm states that he did not break, and agreed to pay $for new door handleAt that time, MrOm didn't refuse to provide Mr*** a receipt, but was not able to provide a receipt due to MrOm's lack of computer literacyMrOm also states that he did not receive any letters that Mr*** claims he sentMrOm and his daughter had also tried to contact Mr*** multiple times, but either he didn't answer or the call was rejectedMrOm has a screenshot of the $invoice sent to Mr*** via text message on June 8, He also has a hard copy of the invoice, dated June 8, MrOm never refused on giving Mr*** receipts/invoicesMrOm has all the receipts/invoice on file and is more than willing to provide Mr*** a copy of it.If you have any questions or information you would like for me to relay to MrOm, please feel free to contact me at 808-372-Thank you.V/R,*** ***

[redacted] [redacted]On June 3, 2016 I have taken my 2002 [redacted] to Imperial Auto Repair for AC freon refill. The mechanic said he found some faults while filling AC freon and he said I will have problems on safety check. So, I asked him how much and he said $350. I came back the next day and as I was counting my cash to pay, the mechanic said the charge is $650 and I asked him why and he said a lot of things and I knew nothing about the engine so I paid him.As I was about to get in the car, the mechanic stopped me and said you can't leave yet. So I turned around and he started to say there are more repairs needed and he went on and on about engine parts and I simply asked him can you get the car ready for safety check and how much will it cost? The mechanic then said $350 more and he said he will guarantee that he will get the car ready for safety check. On June 9, 2016 I have returned to Imperial Auto Repair and I was ready to pay and the mechanic said the rate have gone up to $919.20 and I was just dumbfounded. I asked him why did it go up so high and he said the parts cost more and he also had spent more working time. The mechanic then said he texted something to me and I said I do not use texting service on my phone. After awhile of trying to debate about this and seeing that it was going nowhere I have pulled out my credit card and paid. I have then noticed that my driver side door handle was yanked out with metal piece sticking out and so I have asked the mechanic why was the door handle broken and he apologiezed and said he will have it replaced/repaired for free.After several days he finally replaced/fixed my car door handle and he demanded $100 so I ended up giving it to him.Now, I just felt very strange as I did not receive any receipts nor any work invoices nor written estimates. So I asked him for the receipts & invoices & estimates and the mechanic just ignored me.After few days of driving the car the engine light & abs light & break light came on and the speedometer stopped working on and off. On June June 27, 2016 I wrote a letter to the Imperial Auto Repair for receipts & work stating statements but I received no response. Attaching a copy of letter in pdf file. On July 5, 2016 I wrote a letter to the Imperial Auto Repair for receipts & work stating statements with [redacted]. delivery confirmation but I received no response.Attaching a copy of letter and [redacted]. delivery confirmation receipt. On August 9, 2016 I took my car to Makiki Auto Repair and the mechani there said other then a front left tire sensor being replaced incorrectly nothing else seemed to have been done to the vehicle. The mechanic also wrote several more required repairs and "C0000 - ABS ECU Malfuntion," which he said was due to the car computer that needs to be replaced and that I needed to take it to the [redacted] Dealer and that alone would be way over $1,000. The mechanic also said that there is no sense in doing any repair work unless I am planning on having the car computer replaced. So I checked with [redacted] and the specialist there gave me a rough estimate of about $1,500 at a discounted rate by him and over $2,000 at the [redacted] Dealer.  Hawaii law on mechanic requirements as follows:Section 437B-1, Hawaii Revised Statues:All work done by the repair dealer including warranty work, must be noted on an invoice or repair work order, including any parts supplied for the repairs. If crash, used rebuilt or reconditioned parts are used , this must be stated on the invoice. You will receive a copy of the invoice or work order. The repair dealer will keep a record of all work orders for at least two (2) years. Instead of making false statements and trying to deny, I am still requesting and waiting for the estimates and repair work orders actually performed as required by the law, so please respond appropriately.
