I have been a customer for over years and have only had wonderful service from everyone at Imperial I have come in for minor things - oil changes and tires - under the new management I am pleased to say that today I came in for a major situation with my transmission [redacted] and his team worked tirelessly and solved the problem to the high standards which they have had I am so happy that [redacted] is back and running things with the same level of personal concern that has made me refer so many of my friends to Imperial

I have found Imperial to be an excellent repair shop for my car. They have always been reasonably priced and willing to work with me regarding payment options. My car has always performed well after repairs. When the repair didn't work (air conditioning leaking freon), they worked with me until they got it right. I have used Imperial for years and have been very satisfied. I will say they aren't the most organized people so I have to stay as to when my car is ready. Other than that, I find them to be great!

I purchased a car based on Imperial's advice. Imperial took too long for repairs and now additional issues have arose after Imperial worked on it. Before purchasing a used Honda, I brought it to Imperial to be checked to see if it had any mechanical issues. They informed me the transmission would need to eventually be replaced or rebuilt, a timing belt cover needed replacing, oil gasket, & timing belt. At the time, the vehicle drove well, and because they informed me that the engine was "perfect", I purchased the car. That night, the vehicle quit when changing gears, so I assumed it was the transmission issue Imperial had warned me about, so I took it to them immediately. I asked them if they could have it completed by Friday (as this was my fiance's new car and she had no other means on transportation). A manager named [redacted] told me they "probably" could. On Friday, I called to check on the status, they told me it would be complete on Saturday. Saturday after speaking with the seller, I found out that he (the seller) installed a new timing belt right before selling it to me (the box was even in the trunk of the car). Imperial had just told me I needed a new one, but a brand new one was already on the vehicle! On Saturday afternoon, I called to check on the progress. They told me it was taking longer than expected, but they would "stay late and try to get it done for me". That evening, I went into Imperial where I find out it is not complete and it is not even in the shop (it is still outside in the parking space where I left it). [redacted] informs me he would come in on Sunday and try to finish it (when the shop is normally closed). I call on Sunday to check progress. An employee proceeded to tell me [redacted] was not even there, nor was he even coming in like he said he would. I was assured the car would be complete Monday. Monday afternoon, I call to check progress. [redacted] informed me they needed a part and he would order it and it would be here tomorrow. This same routine goes on until they tell me Honda sent them the wrong part. I reminded him of our shortage of time (my fiancé being without a car) and he had the nerve to say "Well if you had told me your situation to begin with..." We told him our situation when we dropped off the car! Midweek, I find out [redacted] has gone on a hunting trip and a gentleman named [redacted] is managing my car. [redacted] tells me wrong part was sent but the right one is on its way and will be tomorrow. On Thursday (more than a week after I brought them the car), [redacted] informs me that the part company (not Honda), sent the part to a distribution facility instead of Imperial. He assured me it would be on its way and said that the car would be done for sure the next morning (Friday) before lunch. At this point, a week has passed since [redacted] told me he thought he could finish it. Imperial called me around lunchtime on Friday and tells me the car is done, so I rushed to pick it up. Upon my arrival, I find out the car is in fact NOT complete. Imperial told me the transmission was installed, but the timing belt cover and oil gasket was not installed. I wait until after 7:00 at Imperial until they inform me the car is all done and all problems are fixed so I drive it home. The next morning (Saturday), I take the car for a drive. Ten minutes in, the car begins billowing smoke and the temperature needle goes to full heat. We immediately pull over and call for a tow to take it back to imperial. We chose to take it back to Imperial because they have a 12,000 mile warranty on all of their work. The car never smoked before Imperial worked on it. The seller of the car also testifies that the car never smoked before. This morning, (Monday), Imperial calls me and informs me a heater hose has ruptured and as a result, the engine lost all coolant and overheated. They informed me that the head gasket was either damaged or blown all together because the engine had overheated (due to the broken heater hose). They would not tell me if it was even salvageable without me agreeing to at least $300 labor plus machine-shop work. Desired SettlementImperial claims they don't know why the hose went bad and they claim when they originally inspected the car (before I purchased it), they did not see anything wrong with the hoses. I purchased the car based on Imperial telling me I would only need a transmission rebuild, a timing belt cover, and a oil gasket. Furthermore, the car never smoked or overheated before Imperial worked on it and Imperial did not report any damaged hoses when I brought the vehicle in for a pre-purchase assessment. I would like Imperial to repair or replace the Heater Hose, Head Gasket, and/or Head of the vehicle at no cost based on the following facts:1) The car did not overheat or smoke until after Imperial completed repairs (Dealer can testify to this as well)2) I purchased the car based on the assessment that Imperial had given me (which was the engine was fine. There was no mention of any hose issues) 3) The hose issue led to the engine overheating and gasket cracking. Business Response First off I told the customer NOT to buy the vehicle because it had several issues the customer was told prior to buying the vehicle the repair would more than the vehicle is worth and that if he bought the vehicle he would have buyers remorse.Customer proceeded to buy the car anyway and wanted us to fix the bare minimum issues. We did the transmission and minimal engine repairs. The issue with car now the customer was already warned about prior to us doing any work. The seller of the car sold the customer a bad car and he was clearly warned by us prior to the purchase. We are reasonable people and are more than willing to help the customer fix his car for a very reasonable price if the customer wishes to take us up on the offer he should just give us a callConsumer Response I was NOT advised not to purchase the vehicle. I was advised by Imperial that the Transmission would likely need to be replaced soon, and a timing belt cover would need to be replaced. I was assured that the engine was FINE. Furthermore, if I was "advised" of these problems with the engine before I purchased it, why would the same Imperial employee that inspected the car before it was purchased and performed most of the first repairs now tell me that "I don't know what happened...when I inspected it for you the other day (before purchase), I didn't see anything wrong." I knew (based on Imperial's assessment) repairs would have to be made to the transmission and a timing belt cover replaced, but I was assured the engine was fine. Furthermore, why would Imperial tell me the engine was fine, then it blows up. One of two things are possible:1) A mistake in the original assessment that Imperial needs to tale responsibility for. or2) The engine was damaged during Imperial's repairs to the transmission and t timing belt cover. Furthermore, I have taken the vehicle to another mechanic for the engine repairs. He informs me that it was not the "heater hose" that broke (the hose Imperial claims broke and caused the engine to blow). Imperial has "heater hose" documented in writing. I was both told this and it is on the repair invoice. In reality, it was the radiator hose that was broken... a completely different hose. [redacted]To go on further. the new mechanic informed me that when he drove the vehicle after installing the new engine, he noticed significant slipping in the transmission. He simply replaced a solenoid in the transmission and a transmission mount. This fixed the slipping problem. He questions why Imperial did not replace these when rebuilding my transmission as is standard procedure.

In February or March 2015,Company Rep.([redacted]), gave me a quote of $1800.00 to rebuild my transmission. This included a 3 year warranty.Company was contacted to repair transmission on my [redacted] truck. I have gone to the business 3 times to pick it up as I was informed that it had been repaired. Each time I did not make it 5 miles from the business before the same problem was occurring. One time it had to be towed back to the shop. on 7/9/15, my truck was delivered to my house( again after [redacted] said it was repaired). On 7/18/15, my truck had to be towed back to the shop as it was doing the exact same thing that was supposedly repaired from the beginning. Also a hole was put in my muffler and catalytic converter. I paid the company in full for the repairs and have the receipts. I called [redacted] this morning as he was supposed to have delivered my truck on Friday. I was informed by [redacted] that he was not going to deliver my truck to me, he was not going to honor the warranty, and he was not going to return or refund my money. when I informed him the I was going to the Revdex.com, he threatened me and said "You will not get your truck or money if you do that" I have tried to be patient but [redacted] has just been pulling me along. My truck has not been repaired, I have been without my truck since February/March and I am out of $1800.00. [redacted]/Imperial Automotive has not lived up to their side of the agreement. Desired SettlementI am sure that I am not the only person that has had problems with this company. If they cannot repair my truck, just let me know, I really would like a refund or the warranty as originally promised.

My car was towed. Driver stole all loose change in console as well as radar detector. Owner refused to even discuss issue in attempt to resolve.I was involved in an accident on 2-29-2016. Car was towed by Imperial to their secured impound lot. Within days, I went to recover my personal items from car and found my radar detector and all the loose change from the drivers console missing. When I called to complain about the theft, the owner refused to speak to me about the issue. One driver claimed he towed my car and didn't steal anything but when I informed him I knew he didn't tow my car, he backed off his lie and said he was sure the owner would make it right. Owner still refused to speak to me. The tow truck driver did not look in the back seat to see the two laptops worth over $1100.00 each, most likely because they would not be so easily taken or fit in his pocket at the time of his crime.Desired SettlementSince the radar detector was originally purchased years ago but still worked and was originally priced at over $300.00, I'd like my $125.00 back for the tow that the driver seems to think he could improperly profit from. The company can perform whatever disciplinary action the deem suitable to the employee who stole the loose change and my radar detector. The driver claims he never goes into the cars he tows but how else can the driver make sure the car is not in gear before he starts to winch them up unless he goes into the cars to manipulate the gear shifter...? It was clear to even the police when I filed my complaint that this was probably when he quickly pocketed my property.

Purchased a computer for a vehicle. It was faulty. Returned computer. They did issue refund but it was $100 less than purchase price. When "short" refund was issued they cited programming fees, return policies, etc. I assured them this was not a normal "return" rather this is a faulty part that they sold as working. I should not be responsible for their programming fees on a non-working computer. Was told Brian would call me back. They would not give me his last name. Never heard back. /////Desired SettlementThey still owe me $100 that needs to be credited to my credit card. Not to mention the customer I lost over the deal. I'd like them to get me the customer back that lost faith in us because of who we were using to provide parts. Can we do that, too? /////
