I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I received an estimate for the repair. I was informed that we were to use my gel coat paint. It was not used. Instead, it was sanded resulting in a cost over twice was was estimated. Work was started without my knowing the final cost was going to be doubled.

Customer requested ballpark pricing over the phone for one long deep scratch. When the canoe was brought in he wanted the whole bottom to look like new and was told that it would be very expensive to refinish the entire bottom. We then agreed to try to wet-sand and polish to see what would come out....
With meticulous wet-sanding and polish for two days we were successful. I only charged him for half the time we had in the canoe and no materials charged. He can't show an invoice for the $300 job because it doesn't exist and he knows very well that he told me to proceed with making the whole bottom look good again.
