Sold to us with a defective part. They fixed the defective part improperly which almost resulted in serious consequences including death. We purchased the car in December of this year, used 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. Early Feb. it was brought to our attention by a mechanic not affiliated with Imperial that our car should have never been sold to us based on the amount of damage, rust, and holes in our engine cradle. I contacted Imperial right away and they said it was an 'accidental oversight' and we brought it in for them to fix. this car was fixed but went back and fourth about 7 other times for more repairs. Then on Saturday July 20th, 2013 as we were driving down the highway the brand new installed engine cradle became disconnected from two of the four bolts putting the lives of all passengers in our vehicle, there were 6 of us, in danger. Had it fallen all the way, we would all be critically injured and/or dead. Imperial had it towed back to them where it was infant admitted that this was not a manufacturers defect as they tried to play it off as over the phone but intact the fault of one of their mechanics. they admitted their mechanic did not put the washers on the bolts therefor allowing the bolts to slip through and cause the engine cradle to fail and collapse to the ground. Where is their quality control? Do they not have another mechanic inspect such major installations?? We were told their mechanic who did the work was fired immediately after they found out the reason for the failure. As for the solution, we have not reached one as of yet. They don't seem to understand the severity of the problem. My family could have died and many others as well as we were on the highway at the time. They should have procedures in place to keep these issues from happening again. Also they should be inspecting cars before they sell them and this problem would have been avoided. What they did was sell us a car that put my family in danger and then 'fixed' the problem improperly which caused even more damage to our car and made me loose all faith in their service department. We paid just over 8600 for the car plus financing fees. They are offering to give us the 8600 back as a trade in value towards another car. That still leaves us with around 1000 in financing fees on that car. this was a bad sale from the get go, why am I paying for this?? Also it leaves us unable to afford to buy a new car or get financed on a new car since circumstances have changed since we bought this last one from them. So we are completely out and they get to keep a damaged car which they can send to a cheap auction and still make money on? Where is the fairness in this?? Are they not 100% responsible for the damage their mechanic caused. do they not have insurance to resolve these situations?Desired SettlementWe would like our financed Pacific to be washed away. Meaning Imperial should be paying for every last penny that is financed on that car. Also for all the stress and aggravation we went through from day one with all the trips back to the shop for fixes and now this last straw where the car is no longer capable of being driven and caused us the emotional harm of knowing that we could have been critically injured if not killed due to their incompetence, we would like a car provided to us at no charge that has not been worked on by their mechanics as we do not trust their work and will be fearful and full of anxiety each time we were to drive it.Business' Initial Response We regret the delay in responding to this situation. This complaint sounded very similar to another one we recieved, I think that I was confused by the two. Out company has already provide a solution to this matter. It is the only solution that we can resolve the matter under for the customer. We thank you for the Revdex.com's effort to resolve this matter to everyones satifcation, but this one case that will not likely bring all parties a satified reolution.

They keep telling me they will call me back and they do not call and this has been going on for two weeks. Before purchasing my vehicle I noticed a few rust spots and asked if they can repair them. They agreed to fix them and they did. About five days later I noticed they were coming through paint. I tried to contact sales man and had no luck so I called service and they took a look at it took pictures and said they have to send pictures to the body shop they use and would call me the next day. I waited two days and called and service said they have not heard from body shop and they would call me back at end of day. This went on for over a week. I believe they are just pushing it off untill warranty expires which is tomorrow september 21. This complaint is my last resort but I have had nothing but problems with this dealership.Desired SettlementI just want them to fix the paint like they said they would and be done with this situation.Business Response We have address this concern with the customer directly and believe it to have been resolvedFinal Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Imperial ford sent my truck to get get passenger [redacted] of the bed repainted and when I get it back the driver side is painted instead. Not sure who is at fault imperial ford or the body shop they use. Im at a loss for words with this dealership worst experience ever.
