submitted to your office on 9-28-17 by [redacted] Ms. [redacted]. On August 18, 2017 our office received a call from Ms. [redacted] stating that there was a hole in her bathroom ceiling and she was concerned about it. We placed a work order in for maintenance to make the necessary repairs, and they did make those repairs to her unit on the same day (which include the area being cut out and replaced). A painter followed up after maintenance to spray a mold and mildew prevention on the area, patched it and then painted. On September 25,2017 we received a call from Ms. [redacted], hysterical saying that she had a leak in her bathroom that had been going on for a couple of days and it was so much water that she had to leave. She also stated that her floor was peeling up around her tub and toilet, and a water bubble in her ceiling. We again sent maintenance to find that there was a leak, but not enough water left behind to determine that it was leaking as long as stated. Maintenance found the source of the problem and corrected it. After the painter went back to make the necessary repairs, and again sprayed a mold and mildew prevention, I went to her unit to do a follow up. I met with both maintenance and the painter to look at the repairs and to talk to the resident. I had maintenance explain the repairs to the tenant as well as look at the floor to determine that the floor was not repairable. The painter then explained to both myself and the tenant the process he takes to ensure that no mold or mildew would grow in the repair (which was dry then as well as the time of repair). She thanked us for giving her the explanations and clarifying everything for her and she stated that she was satisfied with the outcome. I did tell her that I would have a vendor come out and install new bathroom flooring and she was happy about that as well.
