Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI understand that a combination of high gas prices and low miles would make a car more in demand and that supply and demand can effect the price of a vehicleI also understand that a suggested retail price is just suggested and will move up or down based on these factors What was not addressed is how did these factors make a used Prius C One with 6,miles worth more than the MSRP of a new Prius C One with no miles A quick google search showed me that the MSRP on a new Prius C One was below $20,which is less than I was charged for a used I stated that the main portion of my complaint was how they overcharged me for the vehicleHowever, this was not my only complaintThe rest of my complaint was ignored in the replyThere was no mention of the heavy pressure sales attitude I encountered, or the the fact that I was given information about the ability to change the settings on my door locks so they will make an audible noise when lockedThis feature and cruise control were two features I wantedI did not consider looking for cruise control at the time due to the fact that I was lead to believe that I was buying a Prius C Four and not a Prius C One

Jeff Wyler Toyota of Clarksville appreciates the opportunity to address all concerns brought to our attention to the best of our ability. I have had an opportunity review Mr. [redacted]'s case.
Suggested retail prices on used vehicles are based on a market value. Each pre-owned vehicle has a...

determined value based on the miles, condition, and supply and demand for the current market.
After researching the market value of Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle, his vehicle was in high demand and low supply in the market due to an increase in fuel prices. According to the Fuel Gage Report by AAA.com, the range of gas prices in the state of Indiana and Kentucky approximately 1 year ago were $3.51-$3.63.
Each time fuel prices rise, the value of Hybrid vehicles increase, resulting in the suggested retail price of Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle he purchased.
In addition, a suggested retail value is based on an average of 12,000 miles per year. The Prius C Mr. [redacted] purchased only had 6,164 miles on it in since the date of first use (DOFU) on 10-28-2013. The low  mileage and excellent condition added to the increased market value of the vehicle.
Jeff Wyler Toyota of Clarksville strives to exceed customer's expectations each and every opportunity. I will review our current processes and procedures when determining market value for pre-owned vehicles.
If you should have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at [redacted].

Wyler Clarksville, Inc. (“Dealership). While the Dealership respects Mr. [redacted]'s point-of-view regarding this matter, it respectfully disagrees with the facts and circumstances as presented by him. To this end, on March 15, 2014, Mr. [redacted] entered into a 36 month lease for a 2014 Toyota Corolla. On October 26, 2016, Mr. [redacted] came to the Dealership's service department indicating that the vehicle's tire light was on indicating low tire pressure. Upon examination, the service technician found that a gash in a tire was causing air to seep out. During the month of October, Toyota Motor Corporation ("Toyota or “Manufacturer") promoted a national tire event in which a customer who purchased 3 tires would get the 4th tire for $1.00. The offer, which expired on October 31, 2016, was presented to Mr. [redacted] by the Assistant Service Manager during the October 26th visit, but was declined. In early November 2016, Mr. [redacted] reached out to Mr. [redacted], a Finance Manager at the Dealership saying that he had received a direct mail piece from “Toyota”. He asked if the Dealership would honor it. Mr. [redacted] said that the Dealership would take look at it if Mr. [redacted] were to bring it in. When Mr. [redacted] brought the mailer into the Dealership, it was discovered that it was not from the Manufacturer, but from "Oxmoor Toyota,” a local competitor. While the Dealership must adhere to all promotional offers from Toyota, it neither honors, nor is obligated to honor offers from other dealerships. The mailer Mr. [redacted] brought in was an offer from Oxmoor for 4 new tires in exchange for the customer buying out his/her leased vehicle. Mr. [redacted] went back to Mr. [redacted]'s office to discuss the mailer. Mr. [redacted] explained that the offer was from Oxmoor and not from the Manufacturer. In the meantime, Mr. [redacted] was asked to move his vehicle as he had parked it in the service entry way. The Dealership had other customers trying to enter the service area for scheduled appointments who were unable to do so as Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle was blocking the access driveway.Regarding Mr. [redacted]'s claim that he has been banned from the Dealership due to his review of the service department as part of a Toyota survey, such is not true. Mr. [redacted] has had conversations with several Dealership representatives, as well as with the Toyota Customer Experience Center. At no time has he been told that the Dealership will no longer perform service on the aforementioned Corolla.Very truly yours, [redacted]General Manager Jeff Wyler Clarksville, Inc. 808 East Lewis & Clark Parkway Clarksville, Indiana 47129 E-Mail: [redacted]808 E.
