The product I purchase last time at that place comes in a prepacked container. At home I have noticed that the stiker with an packaging and exparation date is actially placed on the priviose one. When I pealed it off I found, that they did a good job to destroy the dates on the old sticker. Unfortunatly, I my area where I live this is a common practice in many foodstores. Instead, destroing the food which was not sold on time, they simply change the stikers and put new dates, like if it was packed today (like in my case).

Review: I purchased meat at this store and when I used my Citibank debit card to pay for it, they told me that transaction failed and gave me a receipt. I did a debit purchase with my pin number. I was surprised but paid cash $32.30. It happened yesterday December [redacted], 2013. Today December [redacted]I decided to check my bank and saw that the transaction went through as a debit purchase from Imperial Meat Market for $32.30. Unfortunately I cannot find the cash receipt from this store and now that I think about it they did not give me one. I do have meat to prove that I purchased it. Also I found the receipt where it says transaction failed and on that receipt there is no amount or date or time showing. I called my bank immediately and they told me since it was a debit transaction it is very hard to dispute because I entered my pin number. I called the store and as soon as they heard what I was talking about they hang up the phone on me and never picked it up again.I think it is a regular practice for them. I wish I could contact the merchant services to complain as well, but the only thing I have is merchant id [redacted].In the end I paid twice for the same purchase.Desired Settlement: I will try to dispute this charge through my bank, but I think this business should be stopped from dishonest practices.

The complainant, [redacted], tried to pay for her groceries with her debit card. once the card was swiped through the machine the card transaction failed and the card was denied as seen in an attachment with a photo of the receipt. The complainant later paid the $32.30 in cash. The complainant claims that the card did in fact go through however to the cashier's knowledge the receipt clearly stated that it failed. The accusation that her phone call went unanswered is not true, the phone call may have been interrupted when the EBT machine or Credit card machines are in use. I will be more than happy to refund the full amount in cash to the complainant if she would please present her debit card statement and transaction receipt. I hope to get this issue resolved immediately, and I apologize for any inconvenience.
