Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
They say my payment was past due and it was not at the time and they also asked for my new address and work information and I provided both to them. I don't not appreciate them lying about the situation. I don't know if its to make them self's look better as a company by putting me down. If all they said was true I would be ok with that but what they are saying is not true and I do not appreciate that at all.
Sincerely,
Asialee [redacted]

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint that was filed with your organization by our Member, Ms. [redacted], on December 3, 2014. Ms. [redacted] has previously filed multiple complaints about the same issue with our Supervisory Committee, which is comprised of...

volunteer Members of our credit unions who advocate on behalf of Members in the rare instances in which there areunresolved issues or disputes. The Supervisory Committee has responded to Ms. [redacted] in writing on August 24, 2012, August 30, 2012,September 5,2012,and July 7,2014. The Committee has been consistent in its communication with Ms. [redacted]. In summary, Ms. [redacted] obtained a home equity line of credit ("HELOC") with Hawaii State FCU in 2008. Four years later she requested subordination of her HELOC to a new refinance with another bank. At that time we re-evaluated her financial situation, as we do with all of our members who request subordination, and noticed a substantial deterioration in her overall financial situation.  In such a case, under the terms of our HELOC agreement, we have the right to freeze the line of credit for further draws, which we did. The remaining balance may be repaid over the remaining term of approximately 24 more years.Ms. [redacted] is correct in that we initially denied her request to subordinate to the other bank's refinance. However within 11days we reversed that decision and consented to the subordination in our letterdated August 24, 2012. At that time Ms. [redacted] decided not to pursue her refinance transaction. She subsequently completed her refinance in September 2013, at which time we subordinated.Ms. [redacted] also filed a complaint with our federal regulator, the National Credit Union Association, Office of Consumer Protection, which specified in its response dated October 14, 2014 (enclosed) that Hawaii State FCU "did not violate a federal consumer protection law or regulation" and noted that "we are closing our file on this case. Hawaii State FCU has acted within our legal rights and the terms of the HELOC Agreement  in evaluation of Ms. [redacted]'s line of credit and our decision to freeze this line of credit for further advances. Ms. [redacted] was treated the same as any other Member with  a similar situation who requests subordination of a HELOC.

Your inquiry filed with the Revdex.com has been forwarded to HawaiiState Federal Credit Union for a response. We regret any inconvenience you may have experienced and appreciate the opportunity to respond.Upon learning about the issue concerning the balance amount printed on your...

ATM receipt, our review found that your account did in fact have a positive balance, as reflected in your ATM inquiry, however the funds were not available due to pending debit card transactions. The ATM receipt that you received reflected the current, or ledger balance, and not the amount that was available for withdrawal.Checking account overdrafts can be costly; therefore we highly encourage all members to keep track of their balance by using a check register to log all account activity. In addition,we offer custom text message and email alerts which will notify you if your account balance falls below the amount you specify or if a transaction exceeds a specified dollar amount.Although it may not make up for the inconvenience you experienced, please accept this one-time fee waiver of your 2 overdraft fees as a token of our appreciation for your understanding. We take great pride in servicing our members and on the rare occasion when a problem arises, we do our best to respond quickly and with care. I hope our response in this case meets with your satisfaction. Should you need to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] or via email at [redacted].

I had a car loan with Hawaii state federal credit union. I had gotten into a car accident and my car insurance paid them off. I even received a statement saying that my car account is closed and the woman I spoke to even confirmed that.. I think her name was Julie. But today I got a credit karma alert saying that my credit score dropped... Guess what?? Even though my car payment was paid off, they continued withdrawing funds from a bank I no longer deal with so I have no money in the bank. I called the bank that Hawaii state was taking money out of and they informed me I owe roughly $800!!! All from Hawaii state taking out funds, maxing out my checking account, therefore incurring fees!!! I want them to return the fees to the bank they took it out from!! I dnt want them returning the money to my account with them because I plan on closing my account... Do NOt deal with this bank... They even spoke w geico about getting the check for the car so I assume they got it!!!

The
Credit Union received the application for the home equity line of credit (HELOC)
on Friday, 10/9/2015 and sent out a conditional Home Equity Approval Letter
dated 10/12/2015.  The conditional
approval letter states, “Final approval is subject to acceptability of
collateral to comply with Hawaii State Federal Credit Union’s guidelines.”
·
Because
the loan was considered a Jumbo HELOC (loan amount greater than $250,000) the Credit
Union guidelines states the Jumbo HELOC must be in 2nd lien position
only.  The applicant’s intent was to pay
off an exist[redacted] HELOC at [redacted], which would have placed the Jumbo
HELOC in 1st lien position.
·
On
10/13/2015, the Credit Union loan officer communicated to the applicant that
the Credit Union could not do the loan because the loan did not comply with our
guidelines for a Jumbo HELOC.
·
The
Credit Union does not agree that there was any false advertising or deceptive
practices.  All marketing materials and
brochures go through a compliance/legal review prior to publication.  Guidelines and requirements for a particular
loan product are not generally disclosed in marketing materials, nor would it
be practical to do so.  Disclosures and
underwriting guidelines are provided throughout the loan application process as
required.
·
The
Credit Union does not agree that compensation is in order due to any delay on
the Credit Union’s part.  The loan
application was received by the Credit Union on Friday, 10/9/2015 and the
applicant was notified on Tuesday, 10/13/2015 that the Credit Union could not
do the loan.

We have used Imperial Plumbing for oil as our oil supplier and to maintain our furnace. They have always been responsive, professional and on time when they gave appointments. Towards the end of 2014, we decided to make the switch to Natural Gas. When I called Imperial they informed that they do in fact do conversions as well and carry [redacted] line for boilers. After going through quote requests, Imperial again came on top when we factored in price and product knowledge. I worked with Ed Jr and he was always responsive when it came to questions that came up as we went through the process. They delivered and installed the Boiler and a water heater on time as promised and the workmanship of the crew was excellent. Needless to say the equipment performed as expected through he winter months and we are very glad we chose Imperial fro our needs. I just wanted to get their good name out there.
