Mr. [redacted] of Northern Global Logistics when originally contact by ProTel on behalf of Century Link was told my a ProTel Agent the current Century Link charge for two lines and one additional directory listing is $116.95 per month plus taxes...

and surcharges. The agent told him she could not calculate the taxes and surcharge for Minnesota but were estimated @ $25.00 per line. Mr [redacted] is currently being billed by Century Link for $178.05 ($116.95 + $61.10 in taxes and surcharges). All Taxes and Surcharge are determined the State of Minnesota.
Mr [redacted] has call Several time and has been told again $116.95 does not include taxes and surcharges. Every time a ProTel agent has spoken with Mr [redacted] they have explained the taxes and surcharges are determined and required by the State of Minnesota and ProTel does not have anything to do with these additional charge that are required.
All calls by our agents are recorded for quality assurance and we can forward copies of the calsl between ProTel and Mr [redacted] confirming that he was always told of the taxes and surcharges are added to the billing.

After reviewing call recordings we have found that the customer was quoted $110 per month for phone and internet services, plus $6.95 for an additional listing, plus $6.99 to lease the modem. The customer asked for a deal or options on the additional listing but eventually agreed that the additional listing quoted was what he needed. The customer also stated he would lease the modem at first and buy it later if he changed his mind. He was told a price of $124 plus taxes. The customer was told he could look at his current bill with his current carrier to get a general idea of how much taxes would be in his area.
The transcript of the call quoting the $124 is as follows:
Sales Agent: It will be $6.95 and $6.99 for the lease of your modem, and then your $110. So you got $110 and you might as well say $14 on top, that's $124.
Customer: Does that include taxes?
Sales Agent: You've got taxes besides, on top of that.
ProTel Systems, Inc sells CenturyLink services to business customers. The CenturyLink services were quoted correctly. We sell in a 14 state region. Taxes and surcharges are regulated and vary greatly even between counties so we can't and don't quote an exact amount. The customer was quoted correctly for the services he agreed to and is receiving.

since they already started billing me and know the charge of the tax, I want them to give me a break down, line by line, I have an email, from [redacted] and from [redacted], saying $110 plus taxes, I'm not going to continue paying all theses charges I did not agree with at the start. the resolution I'm asking for is to bring the bill to around 150/month. that the estimate was given including taxes, If there isn't a resolution to bring the bill down to what I was told, I will not continue to be your costumer.
