They sold me a 2000 VW TDI Beetle and it died within a month of oil pump failure. $4995 with a bank loan Purchased 06/27/2015Problem date 07/23/2015 VW TDI Beetle 2001 Import city sold me a car (number one after telling me to go home because they were "replacing the glow plugs" which only got replaced after I went down to the shop after buying the car and raising [redacted] 3 days after they shut off the check engine light and sold me the car under the pretenses of them being replaced and the car being in running order and number 2) with a faulty oil pump. The oil pump caused the engine to die. (Not wanting to physically harm the owner nor sales person I have chosen to no personally contact the business about this. It is really frustrating to be taken advantage like this as a 21 year old girl buying her first car.) [redacted] was the sales rep and [redacted] is the owner. I later learned that the beetle I bought was the one they would take to all the auctions around the state according to the car fax they put around 25,000 miles on it since they bought it and listed it.Desired SettlementI would like for them to repair the car by replacing the engine that died from neglecting it and driving it all over to auto auctions and not properly taking care of the car, or for them to refund my money and take the car back. This is the first I have heard of this. I have receipts from where we had replaced the glow plug,changed the alternator,window regulator,blower resister and the temp control. All our vehicle are checked and pass NC state inspection before they are put up for sale. We fixed the glow plug I have the receipt for, we did not just turn off a light. I wish the owner would have contacted us sooner. Seven months later is a long time to wait. Also the implication of harm to my staff is alarming. We can provide receipts per request. The last thing I would like to mention is the carfax,the vehicle was listed for sale by other dealership before us,this we are not responsible for and the 25 thousand mile I am not clear about at all. I have a bill of sale that reflects the mileage which we purchased the vehicle with and will show 25 thousand miles ago from the purchasing mileage that the first owned had this vehicle at that mileage.
