Responding to Mrs***'s complaint, we have the following to say;
As Mrs*** stated herself, we did indeed perform the extra repairs she authorized
One invoice was regarding the transmission repair, the other was regarding the additional repairs also mentioned in her
complaint
When we were contacted by *** *** regarding the payment and pick up of the vehicle, the additional repairs were not complete, therefore, we were not able to quote the total price of the repair over the phone
We will admit that we were busy during the time Mr*** picked up the vehicleTrusting that our customer would pay the remaining balance as they had in the past, we allowed the vehicle off the lot with advisement that the bill for the other repairs would come separately
Throughout 2013-2014, we sent the invoice for the unpaid balance to *** ***, hence, the reason Mrs*** admits to talking to employees of our shop throughout that time period as well
Mrs*** was very obstinate and rude when speaking to us, as she believed there was no balance remaining even though our invoices are detailed
Realizing we were not going to be able to collect this debt peacefully on our own, we did in fact refer it to our collection company for processingAt their direction, we were advised to no longer speak to Mrs*** regarding the debt as it was not in her name
Only after receiving the collection letter did Mrs*** call again, not disputing the debt this time, rather just to simply argue over the typo in the greeting of the letter (Msinstead of Mr.)Once she was told we had been advised by the collection company not to speak to her any longer, Mrs*** became furious, and began ranting and cursingAlthough we value our customers opinions and take their complaints serious, we do not feel that our employees should have to endure such so we advised them all once again not to speak to her any further
We regret that the issue had to go to collections, but after numerous attempts to collect it ourselves without result, Mrs*** left us no other choice but to do so
We feel this complaint was made out of anger due to the fact we were under advisement by the collection company not to speak to her any further, and has no merit whatsoeverIn fact, reiterates her attitude and tone when speaking to us on the phone
