Imports of Lancaster County Reviews (2)

I've been looking for a or newer Jeep Wrangler Unlimited(door) Sport in Orange Crush for about 6-months I sold my vehicle on March 9th of and wasn't in a rush to get a replacement as I travel a lot for workThese types of jeeps are very hard to find in this color and to have the power package that I wanted with a hard top I finally found the exact Jeep that I was looking for the day it was posted at Imports of Lancaster County, Inc I sent an email asking for some more information on the jeep I got a response from Ryan and he told me a little more about it Later that day I got a call from Ron, the owner, who was very nice and informativeHe wanted to make sure that someone had reached out to me and answered the questions that I had sent inI told him that I wanted to talk to my wife that night and see what she thought and that I would call first thing the next day, Friday July and let him know my decision My wife also liked the jeep so I called my bank Friday morning before calling Ron in order to get approved for a loan before going any further I called and spoke with Ron to let him know I wanted the Jeep Everything was good and he said he would have one of the sales guys get in touch with me to get the process started as he was actually going to be flying here to Atlanta, GA where I live to pick up another car to drive it back to his dealership We worked out the price and how much I was putting down as a down payment and everything was set, Ron said, "Great lets do it." Wayne called me and we started talking about the process that was going to happen and what was needed At this point I had spoken with my bank and they had some different requests that I needed answered before they would send the check over to the dealership I called and talked to Wayne to let him know what the bank had told me and at that point I gave Wayne my banker's number for him to call so that I wasn't the middle man I was afraid of either not explaining something right or saying the wrong thing After that conversation I was contacted by a Gabrielle via email who works at the dealership and she requested my drivers license and a copy of the insurance card to get the paperwork startedI called my insurance company, State Farm, and had them put insurance on the exact vehicle using the VIN number that I had from the Jeep and at that same time had them run my credit to see what kind of loan I could get through them, which I was approved for as well Once that was completed and I paid two months in advance, I received the temporary insurance card Gabrielle called me to make sure I received her emails and requested the information again At this time I sent an email with a copy of my drivers license and the temporary insurance ID card to Gabrielle to get the paperwork started During this time, Wayne tried calling my banker so that he could speak with him about the questions that they hadOn Saturday, July 25, I called the dealership to speak with Wayne Apparently Wayne left two voicemails with my banker, Brian, and never got a call back from him Wayne told me that apparently "someone came in from in-state, had great credit and was able to buy right then and there this morning" and Wayne sold him the Jeep!!!! Wayne gave me some bt reasons as to why and that because I am out of state that they have to have the title before selling me the jeep which could take a week or more and because he never heard from my banker that he sold it "That the jeep was never technically mine and still up for sale until the paperwork process got started" Why would I have gotten approved for a loan and paid for insurance and sent my information over to the dealership if I didn't fully intend to by the jeep and was lead to believe that this vehicle was mine for purchase??? I sent Ron, the owner, a text message after my call with Wayne this morning telling him how disappointed I was in what happened and expressed my anger in the way his company does business He had no idea as to what happened as he was driving a car back from GA and wasn't even at the dealership yet Ron thought that it was all mine and that I had bought itHe left all the paperwork and details that we talked about there at the dealershipRon called and spoke with Wayne and called me back He basically told me the same stuff Wayne had and that Wayne did research on Fifth Third, my bank Apparently they don't issue a check until the title process has started and is in my name Most or all places want to see the money before they do that process, understandable Why didn't someone call and tell me that before selling the vehicle to someone else??? I have a loan approved through two other places that I could've used if that was indeed the case and a problem If they had to wait for the title to come in before selling, why didn't they tell me that also???? I've been waiting for 6-months to get the right jeep, waiting another week or two isn't a problem at all!!!! All the issues that they used to justify why they sold it to someone else could have EASILY been addressed had someone COMMUNICATED to me what the issues were The owner of the company worked out a deal with me and the salesman, Wayne, sold it to someone else because it was easier for him, they were in state, had different financing to make it easier and he got a better commission because it was sold sooner at the original price instead of the lower price that was worked out between me and the owner! Then the original salesman, Ryan, who had reached out to me after I sent the initial email in requesting more information, had the nerve to send me a text stating, "Hey Matt, too bad on that jeepAlways put a deposit on a car if you're interested in it....this happens all the timeAlso try to have your financing lined up ahead of time...that always makes things easierWe get Jeeps in all the time....keep an eye on the website www.Mybestauto.com." SERIOUSLY, I did all of that, the owner Ron said it was mine, the paperwork was started or at least that's what I was told If I needed to put money down, I would haveI was putting $cash down anyway and they knew that I got my financing, with different places!!!! Now I've had to call and cancel the insurance policy that I just started and try to get reimbursed for the two months advance that I had paidHopefully, I will find another jeep soon before the approved loans I got expire and I have to have my credit again only showing more inquires on my credit, hurting it I have great credit and that's why I waited until I found what I wanted, so that I don't have inquires every month for auto loansRon was going to drive the jeep to me here in Atlanta, GA because he has another car here to pick up and take back to the dealership Ron is a good guy and I like him very much His sales staff need A LOT of help and better communication skills with the customers!!! There is nothing that could get me to buy a vehicle from Imports of Lancaster County, Inc! I would not recommend them to anyone!!! If you do buy from them, your word and there word is not good enough!!!
