As stated in our last response, the keratin smoothing treatment is not a permanent straightener nor do we mislead our clients into thinking it is A thorough explanation of what keratin is, does to the hair, how long it lasts, aftercare, and aftercare products are and were discussed in a consultation before the service is/was startedIn addition, this information is available all over the internet and from the company that distributes keratin itselfMrF [redacted] stated the stylist never advised "us' the keratin was not a straightener but he was not present during his wife's appointmentNor was he present at the end of the service contradicting his statement (when "we" left the salon)John was NOT present during the consultation or service providedHis wife Katherine was fully educated on the product before handWe as a business would never mislead our clients into getting a service that is not desiredThat is ethica lly wrong and a waste of time, money & reputation on both parts [redacted] is suggesting the keratin was done incorrectly but in fact the keratin did exactly what it is designed to do, which is eliminate frizz, cut down blow dry time, and add keratin bonding components for stronger healthier hairchemically, Keratin as a component will not straighten hair, only a japanese permanent straightener willJohn is requesting money back from not only the keratin, but also his wife's highlights, haircut, and tipThere is obviously an issue of miscommunication between MrF [redacted] and his wife because she was extremely happy when she left our salon, and was fully aware of every detail about the keratin treatment

It is unfortunate that an issue like this can arise in such a credible, well known, and experienced businessOur main goal here at Impressions By Mimoza is customer service and satisfactionOur stylist always go the extra mile to meet our clients needs & wants, our reviews on [redacted] and [redacted] speak for themselvesWith any business that deals with the public you do come across clients that try to get away with free services which is truly unfortunateReading this complaint made by our client (Katherine)'s husband ( [redacted] ***) is a perfect example of a client doing exactly thatEverything stated in this complaint is false, completely absurd, and came as a shock to me and my stylistsAll of our stylist are trained and certified to perform the Peter Coppola Keratin Smoothing Treatment, which is the top leading keratin treatment in the hair industry right nowThe Treatment is not designed to permanently straighten hair but rather smooth and eliminate frizz for 3-monthsBefore any service is performed here at Impressions By Mimoza, it is part of our basic regulations to consult with our clients and give full education on the desired service to avoid any confusion and answer any questions that may ariseKatherine was fully aware of what the keratin service was and not only agreed to proceed with the service, she asks to have a highlight and haircut service added on as wellThere are many statements made in this complaint that I would like to addressthis is probably because the person who wrote the statement is not the customer and was not present during the servicesWe had full staff the day of 12/*/and every single one of us are appalled by this complaintThe correct steps were taken in performing the keratin service, which are not even close to then way it was explained in Johns statementKatherine was extremely happy when her services were completed she was smiling and left a generous tip, which would blindly cancel out the accusation of her stylist calling her "the pickies client she ever had"client was told not to was hair for days which is the waiting period for a keratin, but in the statement John said his wife waited I'm not quite sure what happened in the days it took for the client to return to the salon, but I have never had such a negative experienceI have review after review stating how much my clients love the keratin and coming to our salonWhen the client returned to the salon she stated "my hair is not straight" as I explained earlier, the keratin is not a permanent straightener and she was aware of thatI patiently explained this again to Katherine and John and even pulled out education on the product so they felt more comfortable knowing that it was a top of the line keratin and gave them info on what it does straight from the website, thinking that would be more credible then just m e telling them somethingI also offered to redo the keratin service in which they refused to take upThey demanded their money back and threatened to write a bad review of the business, I explained that I have a no refund, no exchange policy (which is clearly posted by the desk by law) and also that they are free to write any review that they felt was necessary but to please not threaten me or my businessClient purchased the keratin through Groupon for $They are requesting not only the $Groupon for the keratin, but also the $for the highlight/haircut (which katherine was happy with) and lastly the $tip given to her stylistI felt like this request was completely irrationalI cannot refund a tip or money on a service a client is happy withI can redo any service that a client is unhappy with because that is our goal for clients to get why they come in forWe work hard to keep our business flowing smoothly and keep our clients happy it is a shame that so meone would go out of their way to try and tarnish a name that a good small business has worked hard to build for themselvesIf katherine would like to come in for another keratin treatment we are willing to do it at no charge

Reading this complaint made by our client (Katherine)'s husband ([redacted]) is a perfect example of a client doing exactly that. Everything stated in this complaint is false, completely absurd, and came as a shock to me and my stylists. When the client returned to the salon she stated "my hair is not straight" as I explained earlier, the keratin is not a permanent straightener and she was aware of that. I patiently explained this again to Katherine and John and even pulled out education on the product so they felt more comfortable knowing that it was a top of the line keratin and gave them info on what it does straight from the website, thinking that would be more credible then just m e telling them something. I also offered to redo the keratin service in which they refused to take up. They demanded their money back and threatened to write a bad review of the business, I explained that I have a no refund, no exchange policy (which is clearly posted by the desk by law) and also that they are free to write any review that they felt was necessary but to please not threaten me or my business. Client purchased the keratin through Groupon for $100. They are requesting not only the $100 Groupon for the keratin, but also the $51 for the highlight/haircut (which katherine was happy with) and lastly the $30 tip given to her stylist. I felt like this request was completely irrational. I cannot refund a tip or money on a service a client is happy with. I can redo any service that a client is unhappy with because that is our goal for clients to get why they come in for. We work hard to keep our business flowing smoothly and keep our clients happy it is a shame that so meone would go out of their way to try and tarnish a name that a good small business has worked hard to build for themselves. If katherine would like to come in for another keratin treatment we are willing to do it at no charge.

Every other hair salon that we have used in the past left hair straight for months. To pay over $100 to only take frizz out of hair is ludicriss. Hair was already smooth and frizzless. Only wanted and expected curls removed for a few weeks/months,,, not after one wash. When we left this salon hair was straight as expected hence the large tip. His wife Katherine was fully educated on the product before hand. We as a business would never mislead our clients into getting a service that is not desired. That is ethica lly wrong and a waste of time, money & reputation on both parts.
