Anti-Semetic Harassment Incorporated
My daughter called me completely terrified crying after some thug named "Travis" left her multiple messages containing anti-semetic threats to her and our grandchildren with the goal of finding my husband for a "personal business matter."
After countless hours on the phone with authorities and representatives from local/national news outlets, and further anti-semetic threats from "Travis" and "John J." we have FINALLY obtained a case number.
The odd thing is, the detective notified us Improved Data Services is now listed as "Permanently Closed" online and the phone number is out of service.
I sincerely hope Improved Data Services & their registered sex offender CEO Dan Mahoney (Google him... real gem of a human) and other anti-American predator scams like this are defunct by end-of-year.

I was contacted by this agency and informed that they purchased a debt but could not give me any information on this debt, they were only able to see a different collection agency and not the originator of the debt and are now threating to take me to court and garnish my wages without providing proof of indebtedness.

After receiving this complaint all calls to Mr. have been reviewed. Although there was never any threat of wage garnishment I would would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I called IDS 5/27/2020 to discuss my account as my job/ income would be negatively impacted due to COVID 19. Not only was I passed around from person to person Travis at the company deleted my payment arrangement after asking if we could discuss settlement, lowering my payment, or even postponing my payment. Travis then became hostile and transferred me to another associate whom attempted to talk over me, degrade me, and belittle me as I asked questions and attempted to make me the hostile party. Said representative, along with Travis, lied to me about the manner in which I could settle my account. They both stated that it was up to the client to determine if I could settle my balance as is. I know this is a false statement as on the paper work that was sent (only once after asking numerous times) that they are in full control of this debt and how it is settled. These people are using hostile language and threats of legal action to intimidate people into paying large amounts during a pandemic.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. After having received this complaint, a member of our management team reached out to Ms. and she was able to negotiate herself a very good settlement offer to satisfy this account. After having reviewed our calls, it became apparent that there was a miscommunication regarding the amounts and credits already applicable to the account. If there are any further questions please let our management team Know. Best Regards, Compliance

When the representatives from this company called me, they were very rude, hostile, and unprofessional in their manner of speaking. They did take the time to listen to me as they repeatedly tried to over talk me when I had questions. One representative said "you're not truthful", "you don't seem to understand", among other negatively delivered communication. They are a collections company, but they are hostile in their attempts to collect debt. When I asked to speak to someone of higher authority, they declined. Also, they assumed I wanted to enter a hardship program because I inquired about other payment options. I would like to resolve this debt matter, but I refuse to be spoken to in a rude, distasteful, and hostile manner. I do not feel safe nor comfortable with giving my money to a company with such poor customer service and lack of human courtesy.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond. After reviewing the specifics of this complaint and accessing our systems, we believe that our employee and IDS acted truthfully, honestly and diligently in attempting to help Ms. XXXX in resolving this matter. While determining payment plans, it is prudent to ask questions in regards to income and resources that will allow our staff to better customize a proper payment option. It appears that during this exchange of information, there may have been qualifying questions that ms. XXXX found offensive and refused to provide accurate information in helping achieve resolution. As always IDS remains vigilant in maintaining to all federal guidelines and steadfastly adhere to an environment of treating all consumers with respect. We have moved this account to a cease and desist status.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I just want my account out of their possession. That doesn't seem to be the case. I feel like their actions will negatively affect me in the future. That's what they want, but not what I want. The people in charge are going to support the employees of their company, so I am going to be wrong either way.

Improved Data Services has been harassing and threatening my family and I and has been instructed not to contact me or anyone associated with me.

We have reviewed mr. xxxxx's Complaint and although we disagree with his claims against IDS, we have moved his file to a cease-and-desist status.

I would give no stars if I could. They have contacted about a debt months ago, I was attached, threatened and was treated horrible by them. They would keep calling one right after another. Blocking thier calls and leaving voicemail after voicemail. I got ahold of the supervisor and was pretty much told I was a liar. That her employees wouldnt do that. I was told that they would send me a agreement of a payment plan thru email twice and never recieved one. I had given them a card number and said you couldnt run it till a certain date. I hung up and got a call right back saying it declined. No duh! The manager then said that the card came back invalid, ya right and said her employee was worried and concerned about me. They are horrible ! No one should be treated this way no one. Now they are calling again, I have no idea what the agreement is as they never sent me one 2 times that I asked them. Never have recieved any mail from them. I'm headed to report them for not following consumer rights. Joke of a company and if you work for a company like this you have to be just as horrible as them.

We apologize for any negative experience you may have had, however that type of behavior would be very out of character for any of our employees, not to mention has never been tolerated in our company. Please contact our compliance officer if you wish to speak to someone further.

Jim J with this company is repeatedly contacting not only myself, but several of my relatives, indicating that he "needs attorney information", but will not supply any additional information as to the purpose of his call. Another female representative today (12/23/19) called my daughter while she was at work, and was insistent that she "hand (me) the phone". It's worth noting that both my daugher and my ex husband have told Jim not to contact them, and have been advised that their numbers are being removed from the system, but they continue recieving excessive and harassing calls. Blocking their number has accomplished nothing, because they call from different numbers.

I attempted to contact Jim back after he again called my ex husband. After verifying my name verbally on the phone and being advised that I am recording all communications in order to pursue legal action, he asked me to verify who I was again. I advised him that verifying my name a second time wasn't necessary, as that has already been done, and he refused to speak with me further and disconnected the call.

I have been advised in previous voicemails from Jim that I need to contact an attorney, and then told in the same email that I'm being offered a job opportunity. The female representative speaking with my daughter earlier stated that they were calling because I used her as an employment reference. I do not use family members as employment references, so that information is false. Mr. J has also read my address aloud on one voicemail. It's worth noting also that my voicemail does not identify me by name or include an outgoing message containing my voice, so this constitutes unauthorized sharing of my personal information. I have been advised in the same voicemail that mysterious "documents" have been mailed to me at the address he read aloud, but none have been received. This company has advised my daughter that my not returning their calls is "illegal and a very poor way to do business", when they in fact at that point had never contacted me.

Samantha Evans have been calling me constantly regarding a letter that I have debt but they will not tell me anything about this is about or what company it is for. I have spoke with them when they called my work several times, I informed them to not call my work and she was very rude and ignorant about it. She then proceeded to say that she will contact my HR department and my family. Even though she wouldn't give me any information on what this whole thing was for. They have my social, birthday, my full name, and my old address that I don't live at anymore. It is scaring me cause I don't know if I actually have something to pay for or not.

I received a call from my brother in law on 11/18/19 stating that someone from this company had called him and was trying to reach me. I returned the call with the number he provided me and was informed that they were calling about a debt I owed and they were calling on behalf of a company I hadn't heard of. I informed the female representative that I didn't know what she was talking about. She informed me that I did as they had called me repeatedly (which they have not..no messages left for me to return, etc..). I requested that they send me validation of the debt. She then stated they had done this as well. I have received nothing from them in the mail, so I suggested they send it certified and she refused. I then requested they send it to my email. The email she provided me was not accurate, so I provided her with my correct email. She stated it would be sent. I then again reiterated that they only call one number moving forward and verified that number with her. After I hung up, I immediately received a call on my office phone and my work cell phone from this company, even after they were specifically informed there was one number to call and these were not the numbers. To this date, I have received nothing validating this debt. 12/2/19..Today my brother in law receives another call from this company. They did not call my number at all. I return the call after my brother in law notified me and I speak to Jimmy J and he goes through the same information previously told to me on the 18th and he pressures me to pay a debt to a company that I have no knowledge of owing. I again request validation and inform him that I requested this on the 18th of November and still have not received it. I remind him that there is only one number to call me on and verify that number with him. He states he will speak to his supervisor and the conversation is ended. Within 5 seconds of ending that call, my work cell rings and it is Jimmy from IDS. I end the call. Ten seconds later my office phone rings and it is a representative from IDS again. I inform him that I have not given consent for him to call me on this phone number, to which he responds, I'm not calling you. This is a violation of my rights and is clear harassment. Isn't there laws in place that prohibit debt collectors from doing this? If I am able to validate the debt is mine, I will move forward, but I am not comfortable with setting up payment arrangements with a random caller, just because they say I owe it with having nothing in writing.

Case # *** We have reviewed all calls to Ms.. We found one communication with Ms. on November 18th 2019. The account was closed after that communication which leads me to believe she may have mixed us up with another company. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I m not sure if they are the company collecting for a debt the man was rude and talked to me nasty. Scared me and said I have to pay an amount that I do not have

They called friends, they called my work, I have no idea who these people are, I have no idea what "verification" they are trying to do. They said I took a loan out with someone, which I did not. They've threatened legal action (for what?). I asked them not to call my work, and then they proceeded to call it again, 4 times in a row. This has been harassment to the extreme.

On Thursday July 25, 2019 Samantha Es called my phone & left 2 voicemails. I returned her call & she informed me that my account was purchased by their company & I have a debt owed. She informed me she mailed letters to my home & I have not received them. I asked her to NOT call me, my family members regarding this. She then called my job from a blocked phone #, gave her name to the receptionist then hung up when I picked up the phone.

After receiving notice that this company had received an account in my name, I was very cooperative in agreeing to a settlement. I received documentation with my settlement amount and it stated that I would be furnished with a letter stating the debt was paid. I have requested this document 3 times on three separate occasions. I have proof that I was in fact paid and the letter stating the amount and deposit date. All I am
asking for is a document stating this debt is paid, as they promised in writing.
