In & Out Wireless Reviews (4)

I paid this place $93.00 to fix my phone and all they did was replace the screen. When I went back for them to fix it correctly they said they would fix it the next day. When I came back the next day they kept my phone for 5 hours and when I went back they told me if it wasn't fixed there was nothing they can do and for me to just sell it on [redacted] When I used my phone outside it still acted up so when I complained to the man he said there was nothing he could do and refused to refund any of my money.Product_Or_Service: July 13, 2014Order_Number: 0004Desired SettlementSince my[redacted] isn't repaired as promised, I would like my money back please.

On 16 Jun 2014 I went in to In & Out Wireless to have my [redacted] flash removed. The charge was $43.69 with taxes. I told them my phone was still on which including talk, text, and data usuage with the exception of having to use wireless network for[redacted]. The repair man told me I needed a number from[redacted] identifying the device I was using. I called[redacted] and they told me the number no longer existed. Knowing this, the repair man suggested he remove the flash, have me take it to[redacted] to be activated, and then return to him if there were any problems. I took the phone to[redacted] in [redacted], Mississippi and was there for three hours. I contacted the repair man before departing and told him the process was unsuccessful because the flash had not been completely removed as told to me by the[redacted] consultant who assisted me. He told me to return to his store and he would take care of it. I returned and handed him the phone. He refunded my $43.69. The phone whole process he performed on the phone was to be completely reversed since the removal was unsuccessful. When he handed me my phone the first time, it was no longer in service. I handed it back and reiterated that my services were on prior to him working on my phone initially. Again, he took it to the back. It was handed to me again. They told me that everything shoudl then be working. I then immediately contacted the daycare about my children knowing they had mostly likely tried to reach me to drop them off. They told me that they were back at the daycare. Since it was so late due to the lapse in time at[redacted], I left to get my children squared away. When I tried logging onto my bank account later that evening, the site would not load so I tried another site. They all said "webpage not available". After trying to reboot and resolve the problem, it was then obvious that the problem occurred from the store working on the phone. I contacted the repair man and he said he couldn't make any promises, but would look at it and tried to chargeProduct_Or_Service: Flash removalDesired Settlementme $40 to reslove issues that he caused. The next day I took the phone to them again and was told he was not there, but he had informed them that I would be coming in. He told the repair man that was there not to touch the phone. I told them the problem didn't exist prior to him working on my phone. They thought I'd be ignorant to believe that the problem persists on its own assuming I would just pay extra money since they lost money for having to refund me earlier. I want my services restored.Business Response hello my name is [redacted] I flash unlock fix phones for a living her phone was not flashed with internet on it when she first came in I was suppose to make it back to sprint I did but sprint did not want to activate it so she came back I gave her a refund and put cricket back on her phone she left called later and said internet dosent work so I said bring it by I will try to get internet on it for her but I really could not promise because it was not working when she first brought it in thats why she wanted to change companys so she got mad on the phone said some mean things to me and hung up in my face after that I did not want to deal with her anymore and also told coworkers that she was not a good person Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] provided false statements. As I stated in my complaint, my internet WAS in full function when I first brought it in. The day I told him I was bringing it back in, he deliberately did not show up and informed the person who did not to "touch her phone". He lost money by having to refund me for not removing a flash that he alleged to have been removed, but had not.[redacted] could not activate the phone with the flash still active and he knew with his theory of not fully removing the flash, they could not put it on sprint services. Therefore, he agreed to refund my money and return my phone to the state it was in: calls, messages, and internet browsing. As I also previously stated the ONLY thing that DID NOT work WITHOUT WIFI WAS YOUTUBE. All my other services including my internet was working just fine on my plan's 3G network and I have the screenshots to prove it. This entire process has been drawn put from the date of the occurrenc, to my complaint, to the amount of time given to the company to respond and so forth. A company of integrity would have simply admitted to their faults and resolved the issue. It has been over a month and I have had to make other accommodations to pay bills or handle business I was once able to do on my phone and have not been able to since this company distorted the functionality of my services thinking I would be ignorant not to know the difference. As drawn out as this has been for something[redacted] and his components could have owned up to several weeks ago, I might as well take them to court since they refuse to do the right thing.Final Business Response

Merchant sold incorrect and dysfunctional product, and has yet to replace it.In June 2014, I entered In and Out Wireless on[redacted], in the Raleigh area of[redacted], TN, to purchase a replacement for my 32g iphone 5s, which I had damaged beyond repair. I asked the sales clerk for an iphone 5s, with 32g of storage space, to which he responded that he had one, then proceeded to get what appeared to be the one I wanted out of the display case. I noted right away it would not turn on and he said it was the battery was run completely out and just needed to be recharged. He then plugged it in to a wall charger and allowed it to charge enough to power on. I then inspected it, and as I was looking over it, it promptly turned off. I remarked on this and was told it just needed more charge time. I said I would purchase the item on his word that it just needed to be charged, and as the transaction was taking place I inquired whether there was a 30 day return policy in case I was dissatisfied or there was a problem with the phone, and if so could I get my money back or get a functional phone. He responded that yes that I could bring the phone back if there was any problem. I got into my car, plugged the phone into my car charger, and proceeded home. I noticed as I pulled away that the phone was not coming on but chalked it up to not being charged up yet. Upon arriving home, it had come on but was booting up erratically. I went into the house turned off the phone and plugged it into the wall charger. After about 10 minutes I attempted to power it on and it came on. I noticed as I held the phone that it was unusually hot. I opened up the settings app and checked the phone info and was dismayed to discover that it was only 16g, and I had asked for and was told, that this was 32g! As I was about to navigate back to the home screen the screen went blue then powered off, blue screen of death! I promptly returned to the store and told the same sales clerk of my discoveries, and he asked to see the phone. He plugged it in and powered it on and promptly dismissed my complaint of blue screen of death, and said nothing was wrong with it, just charge it up. I responded that he was wrong and he asked me to tell again my complaint which I did, and he said I must have done something to it when I charged it in my car. I told him no he was wrong just give me my money back. He said they don't give refunds, but he would replace the phone. He did not have another one in then and said he would get another one in in 3 or 4 days. I left and returned in 3 or 4 days and every week to two weeks since then, have called numerous times, and each time I have been told they don't have it, but will get it in, just call in 3 to 4 days at the very most. Twice I have visited the store and been informed that they had one but just sold it. I have since left my contact information with them, and visted the store at least 3 more times, and still have no working phone. For $655 dollars one would expect a phone that at least works correctly. Desired SettlementI have heretofore respected the shady store policy and only requested a replacement. I would much rather my money were refunded. I realize that probably will never come to pass so the best I can hope for is to at least get what I asked for in the first place and what I thought I paid for. Furthermore, I would like to see this business thoroughly investigated as it seems to me to be a very suspicious operation. They never seem to know when exactly, or what exactly they will get in whenever they get it in, until it gets there and they open the box, so to confidently, and consistently assure someone that they Will get in what they want, and that in a certain time frame, seems very sketchy indeed. Then there are several other In & Out Wireless locations across the city, but none of them affiliates with each other. Very strange. I have visited all but one of the other locations, and once even inquired at the one on Summer Ave, since they actually had the one I was supposed to have, would they trade. I was very emphatically, when asked where I purchased mine, that no! there was absolutely no way I could swap, I must return to the one I purchased it from. It was as if they would contract a plague from doing business with another store. Also, their website is very limited. The ownership info for the company is even more limited. All said and done, the place needs to be shut down before anyone else gets shammed. Yes, I would prefer a refund, realistically, I need at least the 32g [redacted] I was purportedly sold in the first place. Business Response We are sorry on behalf of our employee who is no longer working for us. We have taken steps to assure that this will not happen again. Mr.[redacted] has notified us of this issue and we've taken the pleasure of fixing the dis-functional product even after the warranty end date. We try our best to satisfy all of our customers. However we do find Mr.[redacted]'s allegations absurd and will not acknowledge them.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I accept the fact that In & Out Wireless on Austin Peay Hwy repaired the phone for me, and I thank them for that. It took over four months to get even that accomplished though, and that is bad business all the way around. I acknowledge that the purchase receipt stated a three day return, however, the now former employee, assured me he would take care of it for me regardless of that. I do not hold anyone who was not there, or who had nothing to do with the situation responsible for the actions of the former employee, nevertheless, it should not have happened. I harbor no personal ill feelings toward anyone presently employed there, but it should be known that I, and rightfully so, do not trust In & Out Wireless. Period. Any of the stores. Any business which uses a model that traps their customers after a three day period- which is not nearly enough time to fully as the trustworthiness and functionality of the product-and refuses refunds, is a faulty business model, and I believe it would be of their best interest to modify their business practices, and therefore avoid any future occurrences of any sort with any future customers. I, myself, will never shop there again. I wish [redacted] and crew all the best, and hope they use this experience as a tool for learning and improving their business practices. While I only accept their statement in part, I wish to incur no further dealings with them, and henceforth to leave this situation as is.I cannot in good conscience recommend In & Out Wireless to anyone I know or chance to speak to regarding a good place from which to buy used phones. So let it be written, so let it be done.

I bought the new Windows phone on the 4th if this month and before leaving I asked rhe guy what if I have trouble with the phone. He told me bring it back within 30 days with your receipt. Last week I noticed my phone isn't ringing. Today was my first chance to get the phone back up there ( within 30 days) and he says itll be $30 to put a new speaker in. Asked what abt the 30 days. He changed the story and said once u leave the store its yours. I also found out I was supposed to of gotten a discount for switching compants and he didnt honor that either. This man/company is scamming people after reading reviews, wished id read them to begin with.Product_Or_Service: Windows 10 phoneOrder_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementI spent $114.00 that day but I'll settle for the $50 for the phone and he should be required to post on his establishment wall in plain view no refunds at all so that he cant make a quick sale then the customer be mislead if their products mess up.
