Our merchant bank had already been notified of the charge and we requested that the $fee be removed That request is still being processed and we were told that it is not standard for the fee to be refunded This was explained to the customer and she was told that she does owe us the fee as it was losing her card that caused the charge We also told her that if we receive the refund we will then credit it back to her
I already contacted the credit card company multiple timesThey repeatedly told me that it is the merchant that has to do thisI paid the charges I am liable forIf it is pending with the credit card company, it would be best to see what the outcome is rather than having me pay the charges
