I received communication direct from the bride/groom and responded
that I would be issuing a credit/refund for the missing item and
complaint regarding the bouts not holding up for 10+ hours in 85+ degree
heat - in respect to his claim that the flowers were left outside in the heat -
the bouts, along with the corsages were delivered and left with the bouquets (standard procedure) for the couple to determine who will be responsible for pinning on. Once delivered, we are no longer responsible for who accesses the floral or where they leave them. I also informed them that I have been out of the state due to a
dual death within my immediate family dealing with estate issues and business
closing/sale for the last few months. I unfortunately, have not
returned to Hayward WI until this past weekend (11/26/2015). These type of complaints regarding my business is non-existent in the 12+ years of business I've been in. We have completed over weddings and have a strong referral/recommendation business all over the midwest. Unfortunately, my family matter took precedence the day of their wedding and still continues to today and my 2nd in charge failed at completing directives the day of the eventI will be issuing a
check refund to the address they provided this week. I will not
however negotiate any further discounts for items that they did not pay
for. He mentions that he decided that he was not going to seek
reimbursement for signage they did not receive - they also did not pay
for these rental items nor were they charged for other items received
that I offered as a good faith for working with In the Woods Floral and
EventsI am attaching a copy of the invoice as proof if the items to be refund and no costs chargedPer my attached email, this is the breakdown of the credit I will process this week:
No charge items & details:
(1) large white frame with burlap backing on a easel - secure seating arrangement cards to burlap - COMPLETED AND WA ONSITE DAY OF WEDDING(1) Sidewalk chalkboard with handwritten information - details received from Jackie/Mark - NOT ONSITE(1) Printed menu framed chalkboard - details recevied from Jackie/Mark - NOT ONSITEHead Table: Burlap runners with (4) bouquet vases and candles mixed in - COMPLETED AND WAS ONSITE DAY OF WEDDING(5) - small black lanterns with votive candles for high top cocktail tables - COMPLETED AND WAS ONSITE DAY OF WEDDING
Credit/refund check to be issued in the amount of $Bouts (did not hold up in the heat for 10+ hours) - $Arbor Floral - $I'll consider this matter closed and will issue to refund check no later then Friday, 12/04/Sincerely,
