do everything we can to eradicate pests. They were charged $3.55 for [redacted] through the end of their lease because they ended service early. They were charged $50 for carpet cleaning because they didn't have the carpets cleaned themselves before they left. They were charged $48 for cleaning because we had to do some additional cleaning for the next tenant. They did a pretty good job but we still needed to do some additional cleaning. My cleaning person could only recall needing to clean the appliances. Had the tenant not hung up on us when she called she could have got the same resolution she can get by filing this complaint. We can waive the cleaning costs of $48. As the tenant stated in her complaint that she agreed with the carpet cleaning and the need to pay the [redacted] bill through the end of the lease isn't in dispute I don't know why they are asking for $100. Courts have ruled over and over that dirt is not normal wear and tear, it is dirt. Leaving an apartment in need of cleaning and carpet cleaning is not normal wear and tear. Again, we are willing to waive the $48 for the additional cleaning we did to resolve this issue but nothing more than that can be done.
