Dear [redacted] ,Thank you for contacting me regarding the complaint filed by [redacted] on 2/9/I hope that we can resolve this matter quickly [redacted] is running a promotion on select VIN numbers and the truck that [redacted] desired to purchase is a part of that promotionWhat we were unaware of is that [redacted] went into our web provider, [redacted] , and overrode the prices of the selected vehicles [redacted] saw the price of the vehicle and inquired for a test driveHe came in and saw that the window sticker had a different price (the MSRP) than advertised onlineWhat he failed to mention in his complaint was that there is also a written addendum to the price of that vehicle because of a $10,aftermarket package upgradeThat addendum has been included on the window next to the window sticker since the truck returned from the aftermarket up fitter in November, This window sticker and addendum was viewed by hundreds of prospective buyers at a recent outdoor show in January.After seeing the truck, he sat down and discussed prices and leasing optionsWe tried to work with him the best we could, but we were unable to satisfy his needs in price and paymentsA deal was never put together.The comment about a mistake from Florida was misinterpretedIt wasn’t “a mistake from Florida," as stated in the complaintI was in Florida on business at the time I was notified of the issueI stepped out of a meeting and immediately changed the price onlineOur provider, [redacted] typically only has a lag time in price changing of about minutesThe price wasn't immediately changed because [redacted] overrode the price and locked those pricesAfter I saw that it wasn't changed over an hour, contacted [redacted] to get the truck back to its selling price, $53,The online price now reflects our asking price.With that said, there is no way that we can give him the price for which [redacted] advertised the vehicleAs Stated on our website, prices are subject to change without notice and mistakes are sometimes a part online marketingIt is not unreasonable for us to require to ask the current price of the truckThank you again, Matthew W Vice President
