This response is in regards to the letter we received May 31st, We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will take care of itI appreciate that Mr [redacted] is one of our great residents We have a guidelines that must be followed with everyone as per the fair housing guidelines This resident signed a new lease starting May 1st, Prior to signing the lease the resident informed me that he did not want an increase When Mr [redacted] came in to talk to me about his renewal I informed him that I would come to his apartment and see what we could do as a upgrade Mr [redacted] said the only thing he wanted was a kitchen faucet When I inspected Mr[redacted] apartment he has most of the upgrades we are doing at this time except the kitchen faucet which I informed him I would need to order and it was a courtesy we were doing this upgrade and would take a while to get installed and he was okay with that Mr [redacted] moved in 9-14-and signed a month lease As a new move in, the market rent was $with a $concession making the rent $920, plus applicable tax When he renewed in October for months, the market rent had been increased to $and the concession was removed, making his new rent $plus applicable taxes Now again, Mr [redacted] wanted to renew and keep the rent the same which we could not do since the Market rent now is $ We try our best not to do huge increases if possible, but the market is changing and prices are going up We do not feel that these increases are unrealistic.I am sorry to hear his bike was taken, we cannot control those kind of actions and do everything we can by having a courtesy person on the grounds after office hours We have quite a few residents who have bikes on the property and they are locked up with a heavier type of lock then a chain and do not have any problems plus a large majority of our staff live on property as well Mr [redacted] bike incident was an unfortunate issue The resident also brought to my attention the laundry room was down and he could not use I have only been the Manager of Lakeview at the Bay since May so was not aware of that inconvenience, but when we did the renovations later on to put in all new machines that our resident’s had advance notice to make sure this incident did not happen againMr [redacted] by the log of his service request has some issues which were taken care ofWhen he had his fridge issue, we only had a fridge in a vacant to give to him so his food would not spoil There is no notes stating the resident came in with a receipt of groceries lost to request a credit I do know that the faceplate for the kitchen cabinet door was put in as well as the new faucet we agreed to We have a custom construction crew coming from California this coming Friday for a week and all of Mr [redacted] issues will be resolved We will contact Mr [redacted] and let him know as wellThank you again and giving us the opportunity to resolve this issue, [redacted] Property ManagerLakeview At The Bay Apartment Homes

Hi, This resident did not receive a refund You either receive a refund or balance when you move out We spoke with our collection company and were informed [redacted] was contacted by [redacted] when he moved out to pay the balance and refused to He is now wanting to buy a house and wants it off his credit We have informed [redacted] to contact [redacted] since the file is no longer with us and without their approval can not get involved We even offered to try to assist with the amount but could not do anything until he called the collection company first If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.Sincerely,Jordan L [redacted] ManagerLakeview at the Bay Apartments [redacted]
