The company misrepresented the cost of preparing a forensic report into the historical academic record, current educational, psychological, and behavioral evaluation, and appropriateness of the educational program provided by a public school by a factor of 4. They represented that the writing of the report after testing and in-person observations would cost approximately $900-$1,200, by omitting to disclose that the preparation of data for said report would cost approximately $3,520.
Furthermore, the expert failed to explain the steps taken to compile the report, the use and sources of the data, ignored questions about assumptions, inferences, and conclusions made in the report, and resisted to fully explain the basis for these, unless paid an hourly fee.
Expert also ignored direction to desist from any further work unless those questions were addressed, continued working on drafts and demanded hourly rate for those.
Additionally, the report had several errors in the review of student's historical academic record, and the expert refused to include additional behavioral assessments from students' instructors, that would have affected the conclusions reached about his behavioral profile.
The forensic report adopted positions provided by the school without any factual basis, and although expert was unable to provide reasoning for their inclusion, she refused to remove them from the report.
Complainant has made false allegations about me and my practice.
Complainant retained me to provide an Independent Educational Evaluation and expert report for his son. All terms were specified in writing and all billing was done in accordance with those terms.
Complainant is delinquent on his bill in excess of $3000.00 and no further services have been rendered.
I am not at liberty to provide written documentation supporting my position as I cannot release specific details regarding complainant without an authorization from him to release them.

I am rejecting this response because:
They claim "All terms were specified in writing and all billing was done in accordance with those terms.” But that does not address the basis of the claim: that they conducted work after the expressed request to cease work and explain how the report was conducted, why data was omitted, and the reasoning and basis behind opinions and inferences made in the report

The complaint is baseless. All work was performed at the request of the client. In fact, additional work was requested by the client but further services were declined for failure to pay outstanding charges on his account.
