I am contacting you regarding a complaint from *** *** ***, The Wave Pool had not been completed for the date this group visited Indiana
Beach Amusement ResortOur Rides, Water Park, and Adventure Point (Ropes Course, Rock Wall, and Zip Line) attractions were availableThis Information was previously sent to the General Manager for Indiana BeachUnfortunately with the anticipation that this new attraction would be open, many factors beyond our control did not allow for this to be completedHowever, because the other attractions at this resort were available we are unable to offer a refund

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowWe wasn’t asking for a full refund but a partial refund seeing that we paid to come to that park because of that particular attraction, if the attraction wasn’t available then they should have taken it off of their website and discontinued TV advertisement

We did speak to the Manager on staff and other staff members as wellThe response was a disgrace to me and my familyWe were told there were no more property available that we could swith to and a team of employees cursed us outI have pitchers of spiders through out the property, I have video footage of the discussions, and my family slept in on the floor because of the spider infested jpropertyOur children were afraid to sleep and did not enjoy the stay at allWe were told that others were able to move to other properties to accommodate themIt was a waste of our money because most of the rides were down, the television was off, my husband had to call our cable company to get it resolved, and the property we were in was infestedI am willing to talk but only about our refund for our stay.

The credit card that was used to purchase the reservation was refunded on July 15, 2014, it was a Visa ending in ***The reservation was under the name of *** *** confirmation # ***

We were not told that that there were no refunds for early departureWhen we took our issue to the front desk, the gentlemen we spoke with apologized but advised us that we would have to contact customer care in New York because they could not do anything from the Indiana site
Additionally, we did not stay at the campground, we stayed at the Inn

From talking with hotel personnel no one remembers speaking with Ms. [redacted]...

about her complaint. We have several guest service people working the front desk at the park. Since it's been almost 2 months from her visit the person she talked with may very well not be employed any longer with accommodations.
 
We strive very diligently to resolve guest issues as they arise. Although we do not issue refunds for accommodations we do try to resolve complaints by other means once it's brought to management's attention. If Ms. [redacted] would like to contact me to discuss her stay at Indiana Beach I would welcome her call.

Guest was told no refunds for early departure. Being that it is a campground we cannot get rid of every bug. If you need any further information please let me know.

Indiana Beach advertises reload able "cool cash" cards that can be reloaded online. However they are not reloadabe online. I have left messages 5 times with the office to get help and sent an email online for help. I can't get help. If I go to Indiana Beach strictly to reload the card they want to charge me $5 to get in to reload a card they advertise you can do online.

Per our cancellation policy we are unable to offer a refund back for this reservation. However due a situation beyond our control, we have already moved their...

reservation to 2016, which our guest agreed to originally. We also offered to upgrade them to a different rental unit for the duration of their stay at no additional charge.
