The above complaint was received by Indiana Neuroscience Associates, Incon August 20, 2015.Indiana Neuroscience Associates, Incdoes have a cancellation policy requiring that appointments be cancelled with at least a hour notice or be subject to a cancellation fee (see policy below)
There are times, due to extenuating circumstances such as illness that this fee is waived as a courtesy for our patients.NO SHOW/LATE CANCELLED APPOINTMENTSIt is our office policy to charge $(at the discretion of the provider) for EACH follappointment missed or not cancelled with at least hours advance notice There is a $charge for new patients, procedure, or test appointments missed or not cancelled with at least hour advanced notice Payment will be due within days of the missed/late-cancelled appointment or at your next visit whichever occurs first Multiple missed or late-cancelled appointments may result discharge from our practice.Upon investigation of Ms*** complaint it would have been appropriate to not charge her a cancellation fee Due to the delay in Ms*** account being corrected our procedure of account review has been reviewed and updated to allow a faster response time to patient inquiries.Ms*** account was corrected on August 17, to correctly reflect a cancelled appointment at no charge I have requested a refund for Ms*** in the amount of $25.00.Respectfully, Paula H***Revenue Cycle Manager

It is our office policy to charge $25.00 (at the discretion of the provider) for EACH follow-up appointment missed or not cancelled with at least 24 hours advance notice. There is a $50.00 charge for new patients, procedure, or test appointments missed or not cancelled with at least 24 hour advanced notice. Payment will be due within 10 days of the missed/late-cancelled appointment or at your next visit whichever occurs first. Multiple missed or late-cancelled appointments may result discharge from our practice.
