engaged this co. for water line repair, complete new bathroom. Was out of my house for one yr. while being completed. upon returning to our home....they hadn't turned the water back on and several things not completed properly. we have called them several times thru out the year and they do not return calls and do not stand behind their work. Where we had NO ISSUES before with any water....we now have standing grey water in our yard, a kitchen sink that will not drain, a shower that holds 8'of water while you bathe, and the list goes on..... Indiana Restoration has no integrity! They have no intentions of fixing their mistakes and the same care they gave our house is the same care they've given us. stringing all communication along w/one excuse after another. So....we left our house with no issues for 16 yrs except the one busted line in our bthrm....and we return to a septic nightmare they created and expect us to fix. This company is AWFUL!! They fixed our house and now it's basically unlivable with the water issue and my last communication with one of the owners (darren p[redacted]) said it's my problem and then he hung up!! DO NOT USE INDIANA RESTORATION.....YOU'LL BE SORRY! oh yeah...they collected 30,000.00 for this botchery!!!! Some companies like to take advantage of the little guys....Their one of them!
We had a water leak from the second floor onto the first floor. We had a plumber out who determined that it was a minor problem (and did their service call for free I might add). The water that leaked onto the first floor caused a 2-3 foot section of drywall tape to come loose on the ceiling. I called Indiana Restoration out to give me an estimate on fixing the drywall tape. The person who showed up said we should dry out the ceiling and he would have someone call us with an estimate. He said if I was paying out of pocket and not through insurance he would let me use their drying fans for $15 a day. Seemed reasonable to me so I said ok. The next morning things were dry (tested with a moisture meter) so I called him to pick up his fans. At this point the only cost I knew about was the fee for the fan ($15 for one day of use).
Fast forward a couple of weeks and someone finally called me from Indiana Restoration and needed to have another look at the damage. He showed up (a different guy) and said we will need to have the entire downstairs ceiling repainted because he could not match the off-white color. He began measuring all the rooms when I stopped him and said I had paint from when the ceiling was painted and I did not want them to paint the entire downstairs - I would do it myself since he did not want to paint that small area. He went on his way.
Shortly afterwards, I got a call from the first estimator who said since I had declined to do the work, I would have to pay his cost for coming out. He said it would be $150. This was the first time I heard about this cost and certainly was not prepared for a $150 fee for him to come out and spend about 10 minutes to look at a 2-3 foot long piece of drywall tape that came loose. I was expecting to pay for a fan which should have been $15. I told him that sounded a bit high but he said I needed to pay for his services since he came out.
I did not sign any paperwork saying I agreed to the high estimation fee so I considered fighting it. Eventually I paid it just to get them off my back but they are now on my "do not ever contact again even if we have a flood of biblical proportions".
