I am writing In response to complaint ID *** where the customer would like a refund In the amount of $The customer stated that their vehicle was towed for expired plates and that we would not let them get their purse out of their vehicle. We hold a contract with the apartment complex
where the customer's vehicle was towed fromWe do monitor that complex for expired plates, however we tag the vehicle and give them hours to get them renewedWe do have authorization to tow Immediately for parking permits though. On the date in question, our driver was patrolling and noticed that the vehicle did not have a parking permitHe took pictures of the vehicle and proceeded to hook It to his tow truckThe vehicle was brought back to our impound facility for not having a parking permit With the facility having adequate signage to meet Indianapolis code, the vehicle was rightfully towed for being parked in a permit only parking space without having a permitThe visitor parking spots are dearly marked in the apartment complexAll vehicles without a permit must park in the designated spaces marked visitor or they are subject to be towed. When the customer got to our impound facility, she was charged $We will not be refunding the customer as this was a valid tow for not having a parking permit and being parked In a permit only parking space.Thank you, Courtney J***

Please find attached a picture of the customers vehicle prior to tow. Indiana Code 9-22-1, pertains to abandoned vehiclesNot vehicles parked in No Parking Tow Away Zone. If you have any further questions, please contact us. -- Thank you, Indiana's Finest Wrecker

Mr*** was towed for not having a permit in his vehicle at a private property, apartment complex They require you to have a permit to be parked in their private lot...Now, as for his claim saying that the price is double what it should have been; the price for an impound in Marion County
for a private property is $ We did not double charge him If Mr*** would have come out on the driver, the driver would have offered him, what is called a drop fee, which is $ If Mr*** would have refused that offer, then yes, it would have been double when it entered the lot ($150.00) That is where he was thinking it was doubled! We do have pictures that prove he did not have a permit in his vehicle and that is why he paid the impound fee ($150.00), at the lot to have his vehicle released This was a good tow!Thank youOperations MangerJunior R***

My vehicle was parked on a street with public parkingThe Tow Away zone refers to the private parking area around the condos, aside from the streetThe Tow Away sign is at the entrance of this private area and states that the towing is for parking in the private areaMy vehicle was not parked in this private area, but on the street, in front of the signPlease specifies the Indiana Law that allowed you to tow my car when NOT parked in a tow away area

Case ID: *** On July , a vehicle owned by Ms*** was impounded to Indiana's Finest WreckerIt was stated by Ms*** in her complaint that she called severa l times and no one answered the phoneWe are a business that is operated hours a day, days per weekAs for her
claim that she called on Saturday and no one answered, our phones were operating fine and we received other calls that nightThe statement where she is claiming that she was told that we had an emergency and put a note on the door is falseShe did state that she would bring her phone records to our office in hopes to have her price reducedShe insisted that our employees reduce her fees with the phone records but again there was nothing wrong with our phones that nightShe claimed that since she could not get a hold of anyone on Saturday, she assumed that the company would be closed on Sunday as wellAll our signs on the property she was impounded from, website, and employees know and tell our customers that we are open hours a day, days a week so her assumption that we were closed on Sunday and no attempt at calling or coming to the office to pick her vehicle do not constitute grounds for a refundMs***'s other statement was that we did not allow her to fill out a dispute paperThe company does not have a dispute paperI am a manager and was in the office at the time when she asked for a claim formMy employee thought that she was referring to a damage claim form, which we do haveI interjected the conversation and advised MsBailey that we do not provide any form of disputes and that she had even signed a terms and conditions form indicating that Indiana's Finest Wrecker is a business that operates 24/and the failure on Ms***'s behalf for not picking up her vehicle on the first day it was impounded resulted in her charges increasing to no fault of our companyMs*** is not entitled to a refund for the fees that she requested and again, the statements she provided regarding the company being closed are false Regards, Courtney J*** Office Manager Indiana's Finest Wrecker W Washington St Indianapolis,IN (317) 244-phone (317) 243-fax Courtney [email protected]
