Indira Salon Spa

Salon Indira advertised a pre-order special of Aveda products for a 10%-20% discount on products via email. The email provided a pre-order form and an email address to submit the order. The pre-order form for product did not indicate any requirement for payment prior to collection of the product once ordered. Indira Salon arbitrarily charged a credit card that they had on file. They did not indicate in this advertisement that payment would be made from a c/card on file and/or prior to actual collection of the order. They did not get authorization from me to process a payment on a card they had on file, or this pre-order. As a result of this action, I attempted to cancel an appointment I had scheduled for the following day. I was informed that I would be charged for the service if I cancelled. This was supposedly a free service that I earned as a result of points I earned for being a good patron of this salon. I informed Indira that I would show up for the appointment, as I did not want to be charged, even though this was supposedly a free service. The evening prior to the service, Indira charged my card for the service. Not only did they run a transaction on my card without authorization from the first situation, they charged my card assuming I was not showing up for a future appointment the following day of our conversation. BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT USE A DEBIT/CREDIT CARD AT THIS SALON. THEY RUN TRANSACTIONS WITHOUT THE CONSUMER'S AUTHORIZATION.
