After the snow melted and I was able to see the bridge again. I noticed the top surface of my bridge was crumbling.
This April 2025, I contacted CCS to explain that my 2022 concrete bridge was crumbling. Shortly thereafter, two representatives met with me. They listened to my concerns/complaints, looked at my "scaling", said didn't know what could be done but would discuss with Management, and let me know. Also, during our conversation the representatives said in agreement that 2022 was a bad year for cement. May 12, 2025, I asked for an update and was told my contact hadn't heard back from person in charge yet. June 6, 2025, I was told that one of the executives stated CCS would only pressure wash and seal as a solution.
I did sign the CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT TO REAL PROPERTY and understand the Warranty was only for the two year period . . . the work will be free from defects caused by faulty workmanship or defective materials.
My thoughts behind my complaints are as follows:
* Our 1972 previous bridge never had any "scaling". I replaced the bridge due to potential collapse.
* CCS representatives even admitted 2022 was a bad year for cement. Why not hold their cement contractor liable for selling a bad product?
* I was never told to seal the bridge. If that would have helped protect the surface, it would have been nice to know.
* I know nothing will probably done with this complaint, but maybe it will help the next concrete driveway/bridge customer know the right questions to ask. Apparently, I sure didn't.
Regards,
