Indoor Air of America Reviews (7)

Review: Our daughter has asthma. We paid up front for this company to come and clean our air ducts. They canceled our first appointment after we made arrangements to be home, and after poor service they set us for a second appointment. We stayed home today for the second appointment and they never showed up. We called and they indicated they would try to find the technician and call back, but never called back. We called again and they advised that they could not reach the technician as they had been trying all day to reach him. We canceled our appointment.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of our payment.

Review: I purchased a [redacted] voucher for air duct cleaning from this company. I had to make 3 appointments all together. The first 2 were cancelled by them because their technician called in sick supposedly. I had taken both days off of work myself to be present while the service was being performed, but I agreed to reschedule a 3rd time and was given a 20% off coupon towards future services for my trouble. The third time was just a no show - no cancellation, no notice of running late, just nothing. I called them to say that this is now the 3rd time they haven't showed up and I wanted my money back. They told me to call [redacted]. I did, and [redacted] refunded my money. Terrible, terrible customer service. For a company of this size, I can't imagine how they can rely on 1 technician to perform a service. From other reviews I've read it seems they are often no shows, but not always. When they do show up, their main focus is to try to up-sell you on other services that you don't need, and they don't thoroughly complete the original service you purchased. Buyer beware!Desired Settlement: This is just for informational purposes only. Buyer beware. Shady company.

Review: This company is a clearinghouse for duct cleaning companies thru out the country . The company we had was from Illinois and stole jewelry while doing duct cleaning. The name of the company is [redacted].it took multiple phone calls and then the Milwaukee Police Department just to get the names of the workers. Nothing but a run around from Indoor Air, it seems every person who answered there 800 number was a manager and did not try to help resolve this issue.Desired Settlement: Force there subsidiary to respond to the letter we sent and pay us the amount for the jewelry that was stolen.

Review: I purchased one whole-house air-duct cleaning for one entire HVAC System plus one dryer-vent cleaning for $49 through [redacted], provided by Indoor Air of America. I bought this [redacted] on 10/15/13, and it expires 2/14/14.

I need to register a complaint about this company and request a refund of my $49. I’m starting to believe they are a fraudulent company or financially in trouble.

I have set up 3 different appointments with this company, and they have failed to honor any of them and have not provided the service, nor called me back about my appointments after numerous phone calls to their company at 800-748-5321.

1. An appointment was set up on 12/7/13. They never came. When I called them to see what happened (it took 2 different phone calls holding one hour each to reach the company), they claimed their service rep got sick and they tried to call me but they had my cell phone number incorrect in their system. We got the cell phone corrected in their computers and rescheduled the appointment for 12/14/13.

2. They never showed up for the 12/14/13 appointment. I made several phone calls before they finally answered. They claimed the previous rep had filed my appointment under the wrong tab. They said the service rep would call me to confirm his schedule to come to my house. He never called. I was very discouraged. We rescheduled the appointment for 12/21/13, and confirmed they had my name in the right place on their computer and had all my correct phone numbers.

3. They never showed up for my 12/21/13 appointment. I called the company several times to see where the service rep is, and they said he would call me to confirm his schedule. He never called and never showed up. I will not reschedule again.

I am very unhappy with this company and want to file an official complaint that I believe they are fraudulent and will not honor the [redacted] I purchased. Therefore, I have no recourse but to ask [redacted] to refund my $49 that I paid for this service that I never received, and file a complaint to have [redacted] not use this company for their services any longer. I have emailed [redacted]'s customer service to see if they can do this, but they are not open on Saturdays. I've spoken with a "supervisor" at Indoor Air and they just called me to say that they are responsible for scheduling the technicians. I told them that if I did not get a technician to call me and arrive within one half hour, I was submitting this complaint to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I want my $49 refunded by [redacted]. I also wish to have [redacted] investigate this company to review their lack of customer service or validity of the company, and hopefully they will refuse to do business with this company so other customers don't run into the same problem that I have.

Review: I scheduled ap appointment with this company after buying a [redacted], for October 24th, 2013. They gave me a 2 hour window of arrival for their technician, between 3-5pm.My husband took off of work to be home for the appointment and they were a no-show. Obviously neither one of us was happy to waste his vacation time for nothing, not to mention the service was not completed.Once I was able to get the technician on the phone (602-323-4700), he was EXTREMELY rude and unempathetic. He said that he had tried calling me 30mins before the scheduled appointment and because I did not answer, he didn't come over. I cannot take calls at work, I am teaching classes or in meetings almost all day. Had I known they needed to call someone in advance I could have easily and willingly given him my husband's number.I was very shocked at how rude this person was and asked for my money back. I told him that I was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. He said he would give me my money back if I didn't file. I have not received my check or a return call. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS!!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the purchase price. I should ask for extra payment to cover my husband's time off from work, but a refund of $50 for the Groupon will suffice.

Review: I purchased an air duct cleaning package from this company through [redacted] for $49 to clean my air ducts. My appointment was set out nearly 2 months and then a different, sub contracted company showed up to do the service and said I would need to pay an additional $290 for the service. I called Indoor Air of America and requested a call back from a manager/supervisor, was told that a manager by the name of [redacted] would call me and she never reached out to me. This is false advertising and bait and switch and I intend to make a complaint with the Attorney General as well since the company's lack of ethics and professionalism prohibited them from simply reaching out to me to avoid any complaints. It's a shame how blatant this company advertises false offers and how unprofessional they act when a customer is disappointed. Because of this lack of professionalism and ethics, I will be exploring filing law suit as well.Desired Settlement: I would ask that the service be completed, but I now see how unprofessional this company is and believe the service would be done in an unsatisfactory and unprofessional manner.

Review: Pre-purchase via [redacted] (not their vault) took them 3 weeks to finally get someone out. They rescheduled me twice. Tech was to be in between 9-11 did not show up till 12pm. First thing he did was to point out the limits of the [redacted], and then tried hustling me for more work outside of the scope (additional $350). His estimate was written on the back of my [redacted]. Persistent that cleaning of the furnace was the best thing to do with the limited amount on the [redacted]. Said he was subcontracted to co. ([redacted]) He gave no invoice describing the work done. $240 [redacted] credit, paid $70 for 12 min worth of work. I was not pleased and felt ripped off.Desired Settlement: Full refund or send out a different teck. with direct instructions to do “only work as described in the agreement.
