JOE FIRMENT CHEVROLET: POOR DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES and EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Bought a car for $11,and extended warranty for $2,from Joe Firment ChevroletWe have experienced two episodes of poor diagnostic procedures covered under extended warrantyFirst episode, advised by [redacted] that ball joint is bad, under extended warranty, no deductible, took car to Joe Firment ChevroletService Department told our Son nothing was wrong with ball joint, Son saw mechanic pulling on something under car while car was resting on all four tiresMy Husband insisted on meeting with Service Department and asked them to put car up on lift and show him the ball joint, they pulled back and forth on the wheel and mechanism shook, stated “ the mechanic didn't put it on the lift the first time" Recent episode, Monroe said caliper on right side was bad, needed front brakes and rotors, realized caliper was under warranty, took car to Joe Firment ChevroletService Department told my Son the caliper wasn't bad, "just needed to lube the pins and slide, besides if the caliper was bad it would lock up"Concerned about Son driving car to and from College and previous miss diagnosis of car, we took car to Trinity and he advised the right caliper is bad, that the piston is locking up, stating " they needed to take the tire off to look at both calipers", which he then proceeded to show me the difference and we videotaped the procedureCalled Joe Firment Chevrolet to complain, talked with Service Manager John, stating "I talked with two mechanics and both never heard of lubing a caliper and it was obvious that his mechanic didn't take the tire off to examine the car"John, Service Manager stated “I'll be addressing that with my mechanic" and then proceeded to make excuses, with no apology for their again missed Diagnosis As I explained to him the second most important thing to buying a car is to know they have a competent service department that you can trust and depend on, which they have now miss diagnosed two problems covered under the extended warranty that we paid $2,000.00, basically for peace of mind knowing my Son would be driving the car, and would like them to pay the $it cost us to have the caliper replaced, and asked to talk with the Owner John stated "I'll have the owner get back to you by the end of the day"EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! John called back leaving a message with my Son to call him backI called John back, told him who I was and he stated in a very Loud, Condescending and Aggressive voice, "THIS IS WHAT I'M GOING TO DO FOR YOU, NOTHING, BYE BYE", and hung up the phonePOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT IT'S BEST!!!! I did not like the service experience today although they are usually friendlyI don't know what happened today but my customer service experience was poorHad, I had another place to take the vehicle, I would haveI did notice every of customer after me was greeted with a friendly smile and a pleasant toneI am very disappointed in the service department todayThis will not be my 1st choice

On Monday 11/26/18, the consumer noticed a leak and had the car taken to Joe Firment Chevrolet, which is where she usually gets her work doneShe was told that it was the water tank and they could take care of it, no problem After doing some research on her own, the consumer asked about serpentine belt when told the car was completed and the car was ready to be picked upThe consumer had thought it needed replaced but the business reassured her that it was fine and it didn't need replacement, they put it back on as they needed to and not to worryShe went home and the next day, she started the car it started making a bunch of noise and started rumbling She called the company, they reassured her that she could bring it right on in at no extra charge, that they'd take a look at itThe next day, they said that there would be a seventy dollar charge to diagnose the carShe inquired if it would be the serpentine belt, they reassured her that it definitely cannot be the proble

noticed a humming noise when I first purchased traverse from joe firment, was told to bring it back out there, they determined it was the timing chain and the power steering line, they replaced the timing chain and according to the invoice they replaced power steering gear valve house assembly, the pump, yet still its making this humming noise, I appreciated there prompt approach to the problems but the vehicle isnt right

Don't sign anything until they specifically point out in the contract all the verbally expressed parts of the dealThey sold me a crap car, then when I wanted to refund it and get something else, they told me they would take the money I paid on the first car and put it towards the second carWhen in fact they took it as a trade, at a loss on equity from damage incurred from faulty repairs, which I had to go back to the place two times (and a half? Once, I didn't even pull out of the garage before I noticed something wasn't right) in just a few months, which was the whole reason I wanted a refund in the first placeI wanted a car for 10.5k, had to settle for a car that cost 14k, so far I've put up at least 5k on this loan and I still owe 12k on itThat really hurts when you just had to chalk 3k in payments, plus the $deductible on each of those service visitsPlus parts, depending on what it is and what warranty you haveJust all in all bad business, bad carsThey'll legally misguide you out of your moneyBuyer beware
