Indy Auto Team Reviews (%countItem)

I have a 2001 Toyota RAV4. My "check engine" light was on. Best One on January 30, 2019 said it was a short to ground on the black and red power wire to he lower oxygen sensor. They recommended I take the car to Indy Auto Team (Bob Foote) which I did. I picked up the car on February 5, 2019 and the total bill was $528.09, quite a bit more than what I had expected and I was never given an estimate though I had asked. The "check engine" light came back on and I took it back to Indy Auto Team (Bob Foote) the next day, on February 6, 2019. He said the "check engine" light was for a new code. He said he could try a computer reboot for $100 but I declined because at that point I really did not trust him. He told me the problem of having the "check engine" light would not affect the running of the car but it drove rough and used a lot of gasoline. I lived and worked in China so I had to leave America and the car remained parked in my garage. When I got back to Indiana in June, 2019, I drove the car and it still drove rough and used a lot of gas. I finally took it to a Toyota dealer, Beck Toyota on August 13, 2019 and they charged me $109 for a diagnostic. They said the intake manifold and or the gasket were bad and estimated the repair to cost $300-$900. These were the parts that Indy Auto Team had taken off and put back on. Since I had to return to China, I declined the repair by Beck Toyota. When I returned to Indiana in January, 2020, I took the car back to Best One. They said there were bad hoses connecting to the intake manifold (which Indy Auto Team had put back on). They replaced the hoses for $222.09 and now the car runs good. They also said that the "check engine" light will remain on until I replace the converter and the downstream oxygen sensor for $1225.95 (I declined). These were the original codes that took me to Indy Auto Team, and Best One said that running the car on a rich mixture because of the bad hoses probably destroyed the converter. My "check engine" light remains on.
