I had my dog with me when I entered the "check in" area. The owner wrote up my ticket and saw my dog in the car. The owner did not say anything to me about the dog. When I went in to pay, I took my leashed dog inside with me. The cashier was outside talking to people. When the cashier returned inside I was looking a cards in the wrap, and had picked out several to purchase. The cashier yelled at me with a nasty tone "you can't have that dog in here". As she walked towards the counter, she was talking (outloud to herself) but I could not hear her. I said "excuse me, what did you say" and she (again in a harsh and loud tone) asked if my dog left the mess on the floor. I did not know that my dog had spit up on the floor while I was shopping for cards. I cleaned up the spit up with my own kleenex as she continued to "harp" at me. When I approached the owner (who had checked my dog and I in at the beginning) and told him his clerk was rude to me, he started yelling (yes, yelling) at me about the dog, saying that there were signs "all over the place" saying no dogs, and he manufactured ice cream (and something else) in the store. I walked around the building and saw no signs anywhere. There were no signs posted about no pets, dogs or anything at the time of this incident. I asked one of the service men where the "no dogs" sign was and he said they did not have any signs, it was just policy. This young man had also seen me go in with the dog when I arrived. I would like to have a post stating that the customer service is not only bad, but it is abusive.
