Indy Hardwood Floors

We received an estimate from ProSand Flooring to sand, stain and coat several areas in our bungalowAfter coats of finish, the crew told me I would not be happy with the resultsOnce the floors dried, I could see that they were very rough and the sheen was inconsistentI called the owner, Carl, and he was very defensive and aggressive in toneHe argued that my contract only called for two coats of finish, but when I showed him the contract, nowhere did it say, "two coats." He said that if I promised to give them three good google reviews, he would agree to one more coatKnowing it would require more than one additional coat, I would not agree to a review until they achieved good resultsKen came out and laid a third coat, but he and his young understudy dripped polyurethane sealer all through my living room on their way out! They puddled sealer in two separate 18-inch square areasCarl refused to answer my call, texts and emails so I threatened small claims court, He and a Bona Regional Rep came out and agreed to one more coatThe floors are okay, though the puddle is still visibleAnd this, after Carl PROMISED me that he would be on site to inspect the floors before the final coat was laid(the crew told me he never showed up!) I missed a lot of work days and it was over six weeks to finish the job! It pushed our modate way backIt was NOT worth all of the stress and negotiating and lost workKNOW what your contract says and get everything in writingDO NOT pay the final bill until the floors are dry and you can inspect themAnd, don't call ProSand unless you want Carl to make a lot of promises he won't keep
