Infinite Air, LLC installed a new air conditioning unit with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. Three months after the unit was installed the unit did not cool my house below 78. I called numerous times to get a repair person to come out and was told nothing is wrong, it is a brand new unit. After speaking to another air conditioner professional he said it is probably the thermostat. I called Infinite Air and told them it was the thermostat and to please come out and replace it with a new one (I had already paid for a new thermostat when I paid for the new unit). Review: The part installed was wrong and inadequate resulting in problem being worst than before

The business contacted my tenants (where I own the property involved), threatening them to come over with the police to remove the part if I did not pay the amount of $300 immediately.

I was on a trip to Canada visiting my ill mother for 10 days than returned to realize they had been making threats to my tenants, this was about 4 weeks after the service call.

I did pay the full amount of $300 when I did return from my trip, the check was cashed on Aug 16th but my tenants were experiencing worst problems with the A/C making so much noise.

I contacted the business and I was told that my tenants were just complainers. I than contacted a new business to find out the motor/part was the wrong one installed and simply inadequate to the A/C unit.

I had the motor/part removed by the professional and had the issue taken care of... I have contacted Infinite Air today and expressed to them that I was dissatisfied and would like a refund on the motor/part intact here at my home.

I was told that I was a crazy lady and did not know what the f... I was talking about and to go ahead and call or report to who ever I want and hung up on me. Her name is [redacted] and claims to be [redacted]'wife.

I was charged $225 for the motor/part and $75 for labor, for a total of $300 paid by check and cashed by the business. It shows that the business has no interest of making this right with the intact part sitting here at my home residence.Desired Settlement: I only want what is fair which is a refund on the motor/part for the amount of $225 and for all I care, they can keep the $75 for the labor. I am willing to return that part intact, the very same as it was when it was installed on July 8th 2013

Response:

We were called out to the residence due to the unit not cooling properly. We found the problem to be low refrigerant and were told the unit does not have a history of leaking. We charged the system and it was cooling properly for about a week wen we were called back out for the same symptoms. We found the furnace blower motor belt to be slipping from being loose. When we tightened the belt, the blower bearings started making a lot of noise and wobbling. We called the manufacture to find out that the unit is over 50 years old and there are no parts available for this unit. Due to the age and condition of the system we recommended that it be replaced. The customer began crying and told us she could not afford to replace it. We suggested finding a used blower housing that could slide in to the furnace as a possible solution, but that it was not the correct part. She agreed to install the housing, but would not return calls, e-mails, or messages we left asking for payment after installing the part. After almost a month of no response, we called THe tenants to let them know that if we did not get a response from her, we would have to remove the part. When the tenants relayed the message to the owner, we finally got a response and she mailed a check. The next time we herd from her, she was telling us that she had another company take a look at the unit and the wrong blower housing was in it. She made it appear that the other company had fixed the unit by installing the correct part, but after calling them, we found out that they recommended the same thing we had originally recommended, and they replaced the unit. We were up front with the customer the entire time, recommended the proper way to fix the problem, and she chose to try a less expensive way to try to make the unit work. We will not return any money that was paid for work completed that the customer agreed upon. We are a small company that takes pride in our work and try to help our customers out in all situations. After this experience, we will only perform the work we recommend. If our marriage is in question, a marriage license can be provided. If any more information is needed about this matter, it will be provided upon request. Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention and giving us an opportunity to respond.

Sincerely,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

The response I have reviewed made by the business (Infinite Air) after the complaint (ID [redacted]) I have filed with the Revdex.com is absolutely false. I have a very clear recollection of what was said to me as well as what I said at the time the conversation took place regarding the issue.

First of all, it is being said that I started crying on the phone saying that I could not afford to pay for the issue, this could not be further from the truth, absolute fabrication.

Second, never was I told that the part would not be the right one, I was told that a part was found and would work well with the unit, it was installed and problems only got worst by making so much noise.

I have my tenants as witnesses who were at the premises during the call/installation.

Third, the Professionals who have taken care of the issue clearly stated that this was a botched job with a part that should never of had been installed, wires crossing in every direction, simply unacceptable.

I now have the part which has been removed by the Professionals sitting right here in my garage (residence) intact and simply asked for a fair refund of the part only ($225).

If Infinite Air chooses to continue the fabrication of events that has never taken place and to simply be unfair with it's previous customer, I will than proceed with further complaints to [redacted] , [redacted] and so on...

Thank you,I do appreciate your attention on this matter. Sincerely, **
