Infiniti Construction

Complaint[redacted] of Infiniti Construction ([redacted]) was hired to build an outdoor kitchen to the residence of [redacted]. The original contract agreed to paying half the amount of the money, which was $8,000.00 that was paid on 2/28/13 to start the beginning of the project. The money that was paid covered the construction of the project. He only started the foundation, framing of the kitchen, roofing,installed only 2 out of 4 windows, and left the job incomplete. But his job consisted of electrical, plumbing, gas installation, dry walls, interior/exterior painting, flooring, light fixture, cabins, shingles on the roof, interior trim, vinyl siding and duct work. **. [redacted] kept on coming back asking for more money, but was not completing any work. The total amount given to him was $25,500.00. This work was suppose to be complete by the 26th of April,2013. The payments were made by checks and cash. The total amount of checks made to Infiniti Construction was $19,642.00 and $5,858.00 in cash with no receipts from **. [redacted]. Payments were made on 2/28/13 ($8,000.00),3/7/13 ($2,592.00 cash), 3/20/13 ($2,500.00), 4/2/13 ($1,550.00), 4/17/13 ($1,000.00 cash) 5/7/13($5,000.00),5/16/13 ($1,000.00 cash), 5/22/13 ($1,266.00 cash) Due to language barrier, **. [redacted] took advantage of [redacted] (myself). The daughter ([redacted]) was the interpreter for most of the meetings but not all. The outdoor kitchen remains incomplete and we have tried on several occasions to get in contact with him and have also sent him a certified letter but not limited to calls and text messages to try to resolve this matter. Due to not having doors installed, it is causing damages to the existing house. Access water is leaking into the house during storms and the roof that he installed is also leaking.Desired SettlementWe would like for **. [redacted] to complete the project with no additional charges and comply with code. If not, we would like for him to refund the rest of the funds due to scam knowing that he was not going to complete the job. The job was still not finished after the deadline. On this day, 8/7/13 we have tried to mediate with **. [redacted] about the issue at hand but he stated that he was not going to complete the project. So therefor, we are requesting the completion of the job or our money.
