Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/19) */
Story Starts from where customer just bought the vehicle a week prior to incident, then they dropped the car to us a day prior to service, outside of the shop , customer had some issue opening the trunk door of his car with the remote or...

manually, and then some how it was managed to be fixed. the next day we service the vehicle , we did not do any wash in the engine bay area as customer requested. when customer came to pick up the car, car wouldn't start due to the door being open for prior of hours , we thought the battery might got low , so we charge the battery, and all the dash light got on. We came to start but car wouldn't even crank with the original key, even tho it should cause remote starter "are meant to remotely start a vehicle" but the key should still work fine. but it didn't, customer first accuse us of getting water on electrical part of engine bay, but we didn't even do engine wash to being with, then he thought we got something wet inside , the only machine that we use is a extractor machine, that is for carpet cleaning of the car, and we do this processes all the time for cars with remote starter or without. as we were trying to turn on the vehicle for almost 30 min, letting customer to be in our backspace and trying to figure out what is wrong, I managed to turn on the car with the remote starter but I quickly turned it off, cause I thought it worked, but when we came to start again it didn't start . customer decided to tow the car, but some how he managed to start the car again and drive it home. Now the problem is this . First of all customer is calling us after 3 days and letting us know that we damaged his body control module according to what ford says, and asking us to pay the damage. of course we wont do that for the following reasons. 1)we have a 24HR Damage policy, 2)customer had fixed the car and want us to pay for something that we found out about 3 days after the service, I think as much as the customer think they have all the right to go ahead and fix their car and have to us to pay, we have our right to first figure out the problem , make sure that it was our damage cause to vehicle and we take action and fix the issues. But customer decided to take a different route by getting their car fixed and then call us in 3 days and let us know about it . we are not going to accept it, because it wasn't a day after the incident call, it was after 3 days. [redacted] Our company policy is on our website and is there for everyone to see. Infinity auto spa is a customer based company and we try to make sure all of our clients are happy with everything, [redacted] . Car is old, remote starter had prior issue, but for some bad luck had to happen in our shop, we would of totally fixed the problem, if we knew the day after service was done, and we would have our insurance and company refereed by the insurance to take care of the problem. [redacted]
Thank You

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The reason why I do not accept the response is because again this business is not taking responsibility for it's wrong doings. Some things he says are true, he did let us stay inside his shop for 30 minutes to try to figure out how to start the car (They close at 6 so they let us stay until 6 and then we pushed the car out and the business closed) I managed to start the car by using the remote starter which if I didn't have I wouldn't have managed to start the car. I did not drive the car home that night, I drove it straight to the dealer, and the reason I did not contact Infinity the day after is because the car was in the shop for 3 days and Friday was when [redacted] finally told me what was wrong with the vehicle, in all honesty I never thought the vehicle was damaged by Infinity, I thought it might have been an issue with the battery or the doors being open for too long and because of that the Anti-Theft got activated and that the problem would have been fixed by just resetting the computer. Infinity did not wash the engine but they did wash the interior and shampooed the carpet, this module that got wet and shorted out is located in the bottom left corner of the passengers side, when [redacted] called me on Friday they told me what the problem was and I contacted Infinity Auto Spa right away, I had no way to know that the damage was caused by them until [redacted] called and told me what happened (I'm not a mechanic). [redacted]'s Report has the cause of the problem written in it, and the time they took the car into the shop as well, that way I have proof that the car was at [redacted] the very same day I took it from Infinity Auto Spa and that the problem was water inside the Body Control Module. If I could attach the report to this response I would, but I can't. I know I'm not getting my money back from this people, I know they don't want to take responsibility or accept that they damaged my car, that is the reason why he says "I personally do not care about what has dealer ship had to say". He does not care about what the experts have to say, I dropped a car that started and picked up a car that would not, with wet carpets and water inside the BCM. Who did this then? I still have the module with me and if you shake it you will still see water come out of it. If there is a way I can send the documents to prove that his damage was caused by them please let me know. And I'm not trying to trick or play games with this guys, I certainly do not have time to do that or have the need to get money out of this people. I just want what's fair and just, these guys are all about making money as any other company, they don't have to trust me but they totally disregarded [redacted]'s report which is what will stand in court as proof that they did in fact damage my car. I'm not sure what else to say here if I didn't have [redacted] to back me up on this I wouldn't even have filed a complaint here in Revdex.com at all just to make a fool of myself. I did it because [redacted] showed me the wet module, and provided documentation to support this, also the report states the time they received my car so it is evident that it was with them 1 hour after I left the Infinity Auto Spa.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 15, 2015/12/03) */
I'd like to delete this complaint, the owner has taken responsibility over what happened and this complaint is no longer necessary.
