Home Construction
If I was capable of giving Infinity Builders and Giles Good a "zero review", I would do just that. I contracted with this company to build a custom home in the East Mountains. We were told that the house would take six months to build. Fourteen months later, we continue to struggle each and every day with both code and quality workmanship issues associated with this construction; and yet, the home is still far from being finished. A constructive, detailed review of Infinity Builders will take a significant amount of time for me complete with accuracy and fairness to the company. However, I think I can provide readers with a general idea about what we have been through as consumers by simply stating that after spending tens of thousands of dollars outside our budget to correct Infinity Builder deficiencies, we are finally pursuing a legal resolution to our many problems through various sources such as NM CID, Bernalillo County Planning and Zoning and the court system. This form of resolution takes time and additional money and accordingly, we have been advised to not discuss any one issue online that will jeopardize our legal standing.

If a reader of this review is interested in discussing IN DETAIL with us the nature of our contractual and construction issues with Infinity Builders, or wishes to visit our unfinished home in person, they are welcome to contact me at 575-808-9156. I am taking the unprecedented step of releasing my phone number on a public forum as an example of how strongly I feel that no other seniors will be taken advantage of by this contractor.

Garage floor expoxy was not prep according to manufacturing product. Expoxy coming up The jobs was done in under 1 hr, and he wanted cash. The floor was not preped according to direction.I was told to wait 3 days before driving on it. I waited 2 weeks because I was out of town so no issue with drying time.I tried calling and leaving a message but he did not return my call so I emailed he came out a week later to patch up the tire spots. Again I waited 1 week for dry time and it is still coming up. I emailed again and no response, the 2nd email I told him that I would have to get in touch with the Revdex.com, he replied in a very rude email that I need to stop threading him and he would get in touch with me , well a week has passed no responseDesired SettlementI won't the floor stripped and done with the correct prep work before the Expoxy goes downBusiness Response We were out the one hour applying the product. It did fail where the four tire contact patches were. She called me and told me about the problem and I responded I would be over to repair it.I was on the road in a moving truck when she first contacted me so it took a couple of days to respond which in turn made her very impatient. I fly back, contacted Behr and was advised to scrap theaffected areas, wire brush them, clean the areas, and then reapply the product. I told the customer to stay off the floor for a week. The product then failed a 2nd time and when she had been trying to contact me, I was moving my family into a home, did not have internet access, and really wasn't paying attention to my phone. I got in touch with the customer about 4 or 5 days after her initial contact. At this point she told me I was going to be sued by her and not to bother. I informed the homeowner I would contact Behr again and come up witha solution and take care of it. She informed me no! The job was a $500.00 job which in good faith to repair I flew back and performed [redacted] suggestions. I closed my business down at the end of Septemberand no longer live or work in Massachusetts. Regards,[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The problem from the start was that he did not prep the garage floor according to [redacted] directions so when he came out the first time to repair all he did was scrap up where the tires sat and expoxy over it again According to the last email I received from [redacted] he told me what I could try to fix it.I have filed in small claims court so it can be decided to either repair it in the correct manner or componsate me for getting it repaired correctly.according to [redacted] email he has moved out of state, is getting a divorce and filing bankruptcy ,so he told me good luck with trying to get anything out of himThe court date is February 4,2015 at 1 P.MRegards,[redacted]

We hired Infinity Builders owned by [redacted] to refinish our Kitchen Cabinets on 01/08/2014. We were told that the project would take a week. However, eight weeks down the road, the project is not complete. In the refinishing process, the kitchen walls were damaged, the refrigerator sanded, & paint pulled off the walls & door due to use of incorrect tape. The cabinets were originally cherry, & we wanted them refinished in a lighter color, but this did not happen. In fact, they are darker than they were originally. When the cabinet doors were brought back from the "shop", they were reinstalled & some were unfinished on the inside of the doors & the outer finish was inconsistent, some being very dull & others shiny. There are many shades of cherry & many shades of finish. They look worse now than they did before. [redacted] & his brother [redacted], who supposedly did the "glazing" of the doors, repeatedly lied to us. It seems that they were incompetent in this type of work, and didn't know what they were doing. They were recommended by Home Advisor, who apparently doesn't screen the businesses they recommend. They ripped us off for $3,600.00 in CASH and didn't complete the job anywhere near to what was proposed in the contract. They also ruined the Island Hood,& were unable to restore the finish. We have never had such rip-off artists do any home improvement work for us in the forty years we have resided in our home. We feel we should be refunded the money they stole from us in the amount of $3,600.00 CASH.Desired SettlementWe would like a refund of $3,600.00, the money Infinity Builders, [redacted] & Marc [redacted], stole from us. Business Response Christine,These are the after pictures. If you look at the third picture which are the cabs above her fridge, these are the samples that she approved. If you look at the picture of the range hood you will notice knots which were covered by a solid body stain that she did not want to begin with.If you look through all the pictures you will notice a lighter finish than previous, and a finish that's normal for cherry woods. The doors are solidcherry, not veneers. The only veneer that needed to be replace is the one behind the island. It had too many coats of poly shades to strip. Ioffered to purchase a cherry veneer and I was told no. If you look at the picture of the cabs with the door opening going into the dining room, and zoom on the left door frame you will see where a smallamount of paint came of the wall, a simple 1 minute touch-up that I informed her we would do. She informed me her painter wanted $1000.00 totouch up that spot and demanded I pay it. This is where our discussion ended. While working on the project we were berated on a daily basis. Street bums, homeless, losers, etc. I was handed a large list of aliases I have usedto travel the country and rip people off (I have not) . I think the list had a 100 names and I lived in every state. It was impossible to reason with someone like this. There is maybe a day and a half worth of work to do there and we offered to finish. She has a balance of $2000.00 due on the contract which willmore than cover any work needed and leaves $1500.00 left over. If you have any questions please feel free to call me or email me. My cell is XXX-XXX-XXXX.Best regards, [redacted] Infinity Builders XXX-XXX-XXXX Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)When [redacted] first came to look at our cabinets, he said they could be refinished in any color I wished.I chose a much lighter color, but the end result was the same color which I had(cherry),but the cabinets were in worse condition than before. The one door above the refrigerator was the only door that was finished on both sides. All others were only half-finished. The island hood was damaged by excessive sanding, & the wood knots could not be covered. The doors and drawers were installed unfinished,& the back of the island was much darker than the rest. I have receipts of damage to the walls & refrigerator for $1,400.& a third party receipt for 15,000.to $18,000.for refacing the cabinets which are beyond repair. I was told the project would take a week,& two months later they were unfinished. The person they had sanding the cabinets had worked for them less than a year, & was inexperienced in cabinet refinishing as is shown by the end result. Each day, there was a mess left after the worker finished for the day. Trash was left in our barrel along with containers from the toxic materials. He didn't have his own rags or plastic bags to remove the trash. They were paid $3,600.in CASH for totally destroying our kitchen cabinets, walls, & refrigerator which was sanded on the side. They did not put back the blind over our kitchen window which they said they would do, and left us with a mess. On [redacted]'s Business Card, it states that he is insured, but he is not insured for the damage which was created. He and his brother, [redacted], lied to us many times about this project. I had a representative from [redacted] come to view the cabinets for possibly painting them, but he said because of the excessive sanding and gouging of the cabinets, it would not be advisable to paint them. We are left with a mess because of the damages done by INFINITY BUILDERS,who were incompetent in refinishing kitchen cabinets. They were recommended by HOME ADVISOR as Kitchen Cabinet Re-Finishers, but unfortunately there were not screened for doing this type of work with any degree of competence. We feel we have been scammed out of $3,600.by INFINITY BUILDERS, [redacted] & [redacted], [redacted] XXXXX

I have paid for a job that has not been completed and lied to about when the job will be completed. No return calls to get this information.I have paid [redacted] 2 checks and [redacted] on credit card for this job. The outside door came in on Tuesday[redacted] I was told it came in on [redacted]. I was told the job would be completed on [redacted] and it was a no show. No return calls to get a final date. Invoice # for outside door [redacted]. The door is at [redacted] in[redacted] The inside door needs to be painted and also the new frame work. Mini blind and curtain holders should be attached to the door and have not been.Desired SettlementI want the job completed As soon as possible I live in a Condo and I will be fined if the job is not completed by [redacted] and then the whole request thing will need to be re submittedBusiness Response My contract with [redacted] clearly states to install one prehung exterior door in existing opening. We had a change order signed also because we had to reframe, add trim, and a new threshold. Why she signed the original contract she said she was going to paint it herself. If we were to paint the door I would have stated it in my contract. I have copies of the contract and the change order signed by [redacted].Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Company changed the contract by throwing away my storm door a new one was order by them and was not installed I paid an extra [redacted] on the order (Contract) to be completed by the end of [redacted]. [redacted] said he would paint the door and install the storm door and attach the parts on the inside of the inside door because they needed to be installed a certain way. I now have paid an extra [redacted] for the door to be painted a parts installed on the inside door. I have to pay another person to install the outside door. I want to be paid back for the extra I have to spend to get this job completedFinal Business Response Please ask the consumer for a copy of the two documents she signed and dated for the scope of our work. [redacted] was to paint her own door and trim which we discussed last fall. The [redacted] she spent was for a new door at [redacted] I told her we charge [redacted] to deliver and install a storm door but because of the misunderstanding I would subtract the [redacted] she spent having the door and trim painted and I would do it for [redacted] She then proceeded to yell at me which at that point I told her to pick her own door up and hung up.We completed our contract and change order to the letter and no more work was included.[redacted]Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] is giving you some lies above. His brother that works for him was to install the door. I paid an extra [redacted] on the contract for this to be done. It was not. I had the door picked up at [redacted] By someone else and installed for [redacted] dollars that should be paid back to me by Infinity Builders. Besides the other [redacted] dollars I paid someone else to paint the door and install the fixtures on the inside door. [redacted] told me he was going to bring the door to my address and never did. I have message of this on my phone. He did not complete the job that was supposed to be done. Why would they have picked the door up from [redacted] only to bring it back.. Plain Lies
