Nowhere on our site do we state that our background reports will be accepted by anyone. We do not offer police records as they contain arrest records and employers are not allowed to use arrest records as part of their decision to hire, fire, reassign, or promote an employee or potential employee. Our reports are derived from court records and the depth and breadth of each statewide background check is explicitly stated on our State pages search description. We are a consumer reporting agency (CRA) which makes us a third party background screening company and our customers from all US States understand this and use our services. Our record reports need to be accurate and current… I believe this customer is just trying not to pay for a service and product that was described correctly and conducted as stated. I find it hard to believe that a potential employee could go to any background check site and expect their potential employer will accept the report. I think she just wanted to know what would come up on her report before the school district performed their own background check on her. I’m sure the school district and pretty much every other employer in the country would perform the background check themselves through a third party background screening company like us. No employer would trust a background report given to them by a potential employee/job candidate. For obvious reasons including the candidate could have easily altered the report or created it themselvesIn conclusion, we do not offer police records as they contain arrest records, we provide court records and particularly criminal conviction records. The fact that ***’s employer or potential employer would not accept our reports is a ridiculous reason for asking for a refund. The school district would have told her either what company to use that they do accept or would have told her that they perform the background checks themselves. School districts are some of the organizations that utilized our services for employment screening and they all run the checks directly through us, they never let the potential employee run the search on themselves for obvious reasonsWe are not issuing a refund for this order. We cannot issue refunds because a customer heard that our reports are not reliable. This is the first complaint of this sort in almost 14years of business with an A+ rating, which means that our background reports are reliable and are accurately described. If our reports were not reliable than no one would use our services, to the contrary we have members in all US States that use our consumer reports for the purposes of employment screening. Just because *** states that her particular school district does not accept third party background checks doesn’t mean they don’t, and if they don’t they certainly have some provider/vendor that assists them in the background screening process. Additionally, *** should have asked the school district before performing a check on herself what company to use that the school district would accept. In the end we believe *** performed a check on herself under the auspices of the *** *** *** to see if there were any criminal background records on her before the school pulled their own records on her

On January 11th 2016 at 10:17 AM [redacted] under the company name "[redacted]", performed a Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check on a "[redacted] E [redacted]" with date of birth of 9/26/1977... Additionally the amount charged for this order was $24.95 not $29.95 as [redacted]...
states in her complaint. The background check was conducted and no criminal records were found. We have been going back and forth with this customer via email for over a week. We explained that according to our Pennsylvania criminal search description as listed on our website we fulfilled the order requirements. It is not up to us as to what employer would accept our criminal reports, we service primarily companies and organizations that use our background reports as part of the tenant or employment screening process. Our terms of use explain what we do and it also very specifically lists our refund policy. This customer does not qualify for a refund. Simply stating that an employer will not accept the furnished report from us is not a reason to issue a refund. We are a consumer reporting agency (CRA) and most of our clients use our services for their employment screening efforts. At no time did we represent that employers would accept our reports as sufficient for their own background screening requirements. Background screening requirements differ from company to company, State to State and also by the position being offered. This customer is not claiming that our report was inaccurate or wrong, they are simply stating that their employer will not accept this report for their purposes. We have no control over what type of companies or organizations will accept our reports for their purposes, however this is why most of our clients are companies that use us directly for their background check reports and therefore they are valid and legitimate. Again, there is no valid reason to issue a refund for this order. We have had an A+ Revdex.com rating for over 12 years and furnish consumer reports to companies, organizations, universities and city governments in all 50 US States. Our consumer reports are in no way fraudulent but instead include everything that is described on our product pages. Additionally the majority of our records are derived from court records which are obviously legitimate and not fraudulent. Most employers conduct their own background checks on potential hires using a company like ours. We are not sure why an individual would run a check on themselves on behalf of a company they are seeking employment with. Most, if not all employers in the USA conduct the employment screening themselves and utilize companies like ours to provide the background check reports they seek during the vetting process. We have never heard of a potential employee bringing in a background report to a job interview. Most companies would not trust this method and therefore typically HR runs the background checks themselves through a company like ours…
