I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThank you for the reply. I realize the function/purpose of
a credit reporting service. I am not holding you responsible for what
TransUnion or Experian said. I am holding you responsible for the
behavior and attitude as it related to this report. Per my loan broker
and loan processor, your office claimed to have talked with Home Depot several
times and that the social security number for the account matched mineYou did not do everything my broker requested re “verifying your
account information”; if THD/CBNA told you that the social security number in
the account did not match mine, you should have told the broker so and not
insisted that Home Depot was saying it was mine

Review: This company claims to be a serious credit reporting company. They are not. In the process of buying a home, my loan broker used them as their credit source. There was an account that was not mine and, no matter how much I argued, they insisted it was. They got to the point of telling us they had called the vendor and that the vendor had indicated it was mine; when I called the vendor they of course had no record of me/my social security number as the account was not mine. They are lazy and rather than reporting/correcting a mistake, their solution was to try and force me to pay off a bill that was not mine. It got to the point where I had to take time off from work to solve this as I could not sit at work and spend hours on the phone arguing with dumb, lazy people. In fact, it almost cost me the home we were trying to purchase as we were running out of time to meet the seller's demands. A disgrace to the credit community, a hole-in-the-wall kind of attitude/behavior that should not be allowed. And to think this kind of "ethical" and professional set-up has access to personal and financial information for tons of people! Scary!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the amount charged for the report and for the time I had to take from work. I am willing to not take them to court for damages/defamation of character and fraud. I would love to see them shut down by the pertinent authorities!
