[redacted] *** [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] *** [redacted] *** [redacted] [redacted] *** [redacted] [redacted] purchased an Ingersoll [redacted] *** air compressor [redacted] from a retailer of certain Ingersoll Rand products, [redacted] *** The air compressor was direct shipped to the customer from [redacted] with an estimated delivery date of 5/5/ As reported by Mr [redacted] the motor of the air compressor failed upon start up Mr [redacted] and [redacted] eventually contacted our [redacted] Ingersoll Rand Customer Center for troubleshooting Per our standard warranty policy for this model and the reported failure mode, the motor to the air compressor would need to be serviced by our motor supplier [redacted] Stated warranty policy: Accessories or equipment furnished by the Company, but manufactured by others, shall carry whatever warranty the manufacturer conveyed to Ingersoll-Rand Company and which can be passed on to the Purchaser [redacted] was not satisfied with our warranty policy and contacted our Customer Experience Leader The result was goodwill gesture in which the entire motor was replaced by our local authorized service center on 5/17/17, eight business days from the originally scheduled delivery date Some of the time between failure and repair was due to shipping of a replacement motor from the third party supplier and scheduling the installation of the new equipment Regards, [redacted]
