Review: I purchased Inglesina parasol for a baby stroller. About 45 days later the stem of the umbrella broke. Inglesina representatives agreed to replace the stem under warranty, but sent an item with inadequate functionality - while the original stem was adjustable in two directions, the replacement is stiff and straight, rendering the parasol unusable for the baby. I contacted Inglesina twice attempting to have them rectify the matter, but both times my emails were not acknowledged (in contrast to fast response to emails before I complained). Therefore I contend that Inglesina failed to honor the warranty on the item.Desired Settlement: There are two possible outcomes:
a) Inglesina honors the warranty and replaces the item with one of equal value and use, not of inferior functionality;
b) Inglesina reimburses me fully for the original purchase since their failure to honor the warranty makes their product useless to me.

Response:
The consumer informed our Consumer Service on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 that the replacement we provided “made the parasol becomes much less useful.”
Then routine maintenance (explained on http://www.inglesina.us/news/news/20130717-routine-maintenance.html), followed by e-mail technical difficulties, prevented us from accessing (and so answering) that e-mail (also the one she sent on Friday, July 26) until Wednesday, July 31. Since then we have been communicating with the consumer a few times by e-mail, until Friday, August 2, when we informed her that the stem she was looking for has been discontinued. We suggested her to contact the dealer she purchased the parasol from for a refund. Our company will then refund the dealer for the cost of the item.
