Ingleton Dermatology Reviews (1)

Review: I paid out of pocket for a visit to [redacted] because the claim to the insurance company was dragging on and her billing department sent the bill to a collection agency. After I paid the collection in full, which negatively effected my credit score, the insurance company finally approved the claim. The insurance company sent and electronic payment to [redacted] on 9/**/13 for the said claim. So essentially the doctor was paid twice for the one visit and I am due a refund. I had been in contact with her external billing agency for over a month after I found out the electronic payment had been made. They told me that a refund request was sent to the doctor's office, that there was nothing else they could do, and that I should contact the [redacted], [redacted]. I have been calling [redacted] for over two months now. The first time I spoke to her and she said the accountant would issue me a check when they were in. [redacted] is never there the several other times I have called since then and I leave a detailed message. As of today I have not received a check in the mail for my refund. On top of not receiving my refund in a timely manner it's a further insult to not be called back. That kind of behavior in a professional setting is absolutely abhorrent, rude, and unprofessional. It reflects badly on the entire office and should not be acceptable to the doctor if she is not aware of this issue.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded promptly for the amount I was quoted by [redacted]'s billing department, $547.00. Not to mention that I actually paid $640.00, but the insurance company said I was responsible for $93.00, after taking them over two and a half years to approve the claim. Ridiculous, but I'm just glad to be done with the insurance company and reported them to the New York state insurance commissioner. I'd like to be done with the entire matter now and get my refund from [redacted] posthaste.
