I received a complaint (ID) against my business on July 22, about a job I did on July 8th for [redacted] and [redacted] First of all I'm disappointed that they couldn't talk to me first instead of going to a 3rd partyNext all I can say is that I must have been misunderstood when I quoted [redacted] the price for the toiletsI told him they were about apiece to install themI also told him the brand name at that time and he had a month to think about itHe called and said he wanted me to send him some pictures of the toilets which I didHe then told me that they liked them and to go ahead and get them and set up an appointment to install themAfter the job was finished I gave him the bill and he gave me a check and told me it was a good job and he was happy with itHe never said anything about the price being different than he thought it should beNow with that said, I never met [redacted] These toilets are not cheap toilets and if she can buy them for then she gets a whole lot better price than I doIn my experience as year plumber I will stand behind the quality of these toilets and it is my opinion that they are better than Kohler or American StandardThey are also ADA toilets and the prices she is quoting are for regular toiletsShe had purchased toilet seat which I installed on the upstairs toilet and I installed a white wood toilet seat on the downstairs toiletSo I don't know why she claims that they have plastic toilet seatsHer old toilets were lowboy toilets with round bowls and the new ones are elongated and stand inches higherThey are slimmer but you could tell that in the picturesAlso, I noticed that she said my phones were out of service which is not trueI have had the same phone number since and they have never been disconnected In closing I can say that I am truly sorry that they are not happy with the toiletsI have lots of customers that are happy with themThat is why I sell themI feel they had plenty of time to research and check the pictures outWe did not ever discuss the price after I quoted him on the 8th of JuneThey got a fair price on two quality toilets and I do not feel any compensation is required

I am rejecting this response because:
Crystal Plumbing sent one picture to my husband's cell phone of a toilet, it looked like a toilet.  I spoke to [redacted] on the phone when he called one day and I asked him if that was a picture of his toilet because he said he had this toilet in his house and he indicated that it was toilet from a job he had done. I asked him if he was going to bring both toilets and install them for the $600 and he said yes, I then handed the phone to my husband because he was the person that would be home when [redacted] would be doing the installation.
[redacted] of Crystal Plumbing did not discuss the price difference in the toilets in his response to us or to the Revdex.com.  [redacted] told my husband (and he told me over the phone when I answered his call as stated above)  that he would install two toilets for six hundred dollars: the itemization is as follows:  two hundred dollars for each toilet, $200 x 2 is $400, and there would also be a charge $100 to install each toilet, $100 x 2 is $200.  The total of $400 + $200 is $600. 
   THIS IS ONE OF THE MAJOR PROBLEMS, THE LIE ABOUT THE PRICE OF THE TOILETS.  [redacted] NEVER TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT THE PRICE OF THE TOILETS INCREASED TO $285 EACH, THIS IS 45% MORE THAN THE QUOTED PRICE FOR EACH TOILET. MY HUSBAND WAS NOT TOLD OF THIS PRICE INCREASE  UNTIL AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE AND [redacted] WAS WAITING FOR MY HUSBAND TO WRITE THE CHECK TO PAY HIM. I WISH I HAD THE CHECKBOOK WITH ME SO I COULD QUOTE THE EXACT AMOUNT, HOWEVER, I KNOW WE PAID OVER $850 FOR THESE TWO TOILETS ONCE THE WAX RING AND TOILET SEAT WAS INCLUDED in [redacted]'s invoice.
The bottom line is:, [redacted] charged my husband $285 per toilet.  285 x 2 is $570; five hundred seventy dollars is quite a bit more money than [redacted]'s initial quote of four hundred dollars to purchase both toilets from Crystal Plumbing. Where did the extra $85 per toilet come from, [redacted]?  The increased pricing was not discussed beforehand. 
If I would have been home that day I would have sent [redacted] away at the first sight of these toilets with  white plastic flushing handles, and [redacted]'s toilet seat with cheap white plastic seat hinges.
My husband and I are sorry we did not buy our toilets at a big box store, they would have been better quality than what we received from Crystal Plumbing.
BY the way, [redacted]s does sell the pro flo toilets for under $80 each.

I also told him the brand name at that time and he had a month to think about it. He called and said he wanted me to send him some pictures of the 300.00 toilets which I did. He then told me that they liked them and to go ahead and get them and set up an appointment to install them. After the job was finished I gave him the bill and he gave me a check and told me it was a good job and he was happy with it. He never said anything about the price being different than he thought it should be. Now with that said, I never met [redacted].
 
These toilets are not cheap toilets and if she can buy them for 79.95 then she gets a whole lot better price than I do. In my experience as  30 year plumber I will stand behind the quality of these toilets and it is my opinion that they are better than Kohler or American Standard. They are also ADA toilets and the prices she is quoting are for regular toilets. She had purchased 1 toilet seat which I installed on the upstairs toilet and I installed a white wood toilet seat on the downstairs toilet. So I don't know why she claims that they have plastic toilet seats. Her old toilets were lowboy toilets with round bowls and the new ones are elongated and stand 3 inches higher. They are slimmer but you could tell that in the pictures. Also, I noticed that she said my phones were out of service which is not true. In closing I can say that I am truly sorry that they are not happy with the toilets. I have lots of customers that are happy with them. That is why I  sell them. I feel they had plenty of time to research and check the pictures out. We did not ever discuss the price after I quoted him on the 8th of June. They got a fair price on two quality toilets and I do not feel any compensation is required
