Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: this bank took my entire check one month because the did not honor what they said they would The head cashier at this bank has personal issues with me They removed overdraft because they were charging me online bill payment fees when I hadn't had a bill payed online in years They manipulated the system to steal from meAnd that is exactly what they did Revdex.com Should request statements of my account I do believe they just recently paid checks written because I threatened legal action and took a screenshot of their terms and conditions that they had violated
Sincerely,*** ***

The primary issue involving Mr***'s account is that he lives outside the United States and FirstNational Bank Alaska (FNBA) is not able to provide the level of service that he requestsThe bankunderstands that Mr*** is frustrated with the difficulties of managing his financial
matters;however the issues in managing this account from a great distance are not easily overcomeFor thisreason we have requested Mr*** move his primary banking business nearer to his place ofresidence.Mr*** enrolled his debit card in FNBA's overdraft plan; however he believed he was enrolling in"overdraft protection." FNBA has never offered an overdraft protection line of credit(Therequirements of federal Regulation E make it necessary for consumers to enroll their debit cards beforedebit card transactions may even be considered for an overdraftTransactions conducted by check haveno such restriction.) FNBA has refunded the most recent overdraft charge due to this misunderstanding. We find no basis for Mr***'s comments about the staff at the FNBA Seward BranchOn thecontrary, the staff is well known in and around the community of Seward, Alaska for providing excellentcustomer service.Sincerely,Rick M***Compliance OfficerBranch Support and Compliance Division

First National Bank Alaska has no further response, as the primary issue of servicing an account for a customer domiciled outside the United States remains

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with a gal named Sarah (whom identified herself as working in
the Records department) at the First National Bank of Alaska (FNBA) PO Box 100720, Anchorage Branch., as well as a local bank teller named Anita, and both informed me that indeed FNBA only keeps records for seven years and the only way to obtain them is through a court order. A manager at the Valley Centre Branch also mentioned that the only way to obtain my statements was by going through the courtI am fairly certain that there are policies and procedures in place for records retention. Therefore, I believe the statements I am requesting exist but are more difficult to retrieve. I have consulted several lawyers, MrPaul G*** and MrEdward M***, who both thought that if the statements could be produced with a subpoena or court order, they should also be produced without the court being involved. Short of requesting the bank statements again, is there anything the bank and or a manager can do before legal action is taken?
Sincerely,
*** ***

I have resonded directly to the customer as of this date. Thanks for your assistance.Rick M***Compliance OfficerFirst National Bank Alaska***

*** *** is correct in asserting that any record available with a court order should also be available without one.Trying to set the record straight, no bank customer needs a court order to obtain copies of their own bank records. I have not yet spoken with the Valley Centre Branch, but I will make this point very clear to them as well.I answered *** *** myself because I am able to speak as the final authority for First National Bank Alaska. FNBA systematically deletes these documents months after they are produced. The account statement sought by *** *** cannot be produced by request or any other order because they no longer exist.Rick M*** ***
